Which one so you all think is better?
love the 360 with the kinect
but not happy the direction they went with the new gen, will likely wait til the next gen to buy
Got both and just use Xbox now because I'm too lazy to turn on the PS3.
Thanks
My wife gets free games so just looking at which one to get between the two I listed.
a good ride on the Ducati out on the roadways beats both IMHO....
Right, it does and always has but since I don't have one right now..I can't do that.
I don't play video games at all..why I'm asking for advice.
I guess it kinda depends on what games you are interested in playing then....
the kinect really opened up the gaming experience for our family.
we have a good time all together on rainey days with it
free game..this one is Diablo 3
Cool..may have to get that then kinetic then. I know my brother has it. Maybe can borrow first.
Wait..do you have to pay a membership fee for Xbox?!
for online yes you do have to pay.
not sure about ps3 or ps4 coming

Ok. Not worried about online play.
which one is smaller?
On the Xbox you get a better online experience mostly because you need to pay for it.
If you REALLY don't want to play online you can buy a used (or modded) one for cheap.
Otherwise I would wait for the next gen consoles to come out since the new games will not work with the current generation.
Mad King is right; wait a for the PS4 to come out, but if you are looking to pick up an obsolete counsel go PS3.
Occasional gamer here, I like playing need for speed most wanted on the PS3 on-line and for free [thumbsup]
PS3 gets my vote if you're not playing online, plus you get the added bonus of getting the best BlueRay player out there [thumbsup]
Yeah, no desire to play online since I really don't play video games. Those days ended with Stargate and Galaga. Since wife gets free games though, I would like to try them out.

errrrrrrrrrr you know what i'm feeling
I'll give you free photography lessons ;)
When I was looking at a system hear is what I was looking at: Once in a while gaming (both online and off), Netflix, and watching dvd's. I went with the PS3. Though if I was more of a gamer than movie watcher I would have gone xbox. I would think xbox with kinects would be more fun for kids.

Going Xbox with kinecta sounds like fun. I'm sure my son will be a gamer since his mom's work makes them.
If you need someone to "tryout" the ps3 game I could send you my address and i'll give you a write up on each of them.
I wouldn't even charge you.

PS3 has the motion gizmo too, I would hold off a month to buy, when the ps4 comes out the 3 will be available everywhere from the kids trading up.
I have both the xbox and ps3 and by far the ps3 is a better all around system.
Getting a lot of offers for testers here. I'll keep you all in mind when wife's employer is coming out with a new game.
Ha-ha will trade PS3 games for DOC swag [evil]
[thumbsup]
as much as I like my 360....
I have been re-assimilated into the master race.
though PS3 will get you a blu-ray player, it also has 'the last of us.' ZOMG I want to play that game! :'( :'( :'(
Having owned both...
I'm a solo gamer. I play for gameplay, storyline, fun characters, and replay value, in that order. I've played online, but it's not really my thing. I'll never be better than the 12yo whose parents use CoD:Black Ops as low-cost child care. And that kid has a pretty limited vocabulary when it comes to name-calling.
I've had my PS3 since 2007. I had a 360 from 2007-2010. Besides the Gears of War games, I never touched the thing. Most of the games I wanted to play were available on both. When I realized I hadn't even bothered to turn it on in 2 years, I gave my 360 to a friend.
The PS3 boasts:
- Better graphics
- The game franchises I want to play (Metal Gear, Drake's (and now The Last of Us), Gran Turismo, God of War, Heavy Rain, and the Ico/SoC Collection)
- Built in BluRay player with Optical audio out and HDMI connection.
- Free online play, with a premium option.
- No "Red ring of death."
The 360 has:
- A better online gaming community (which you pay for).
- Kinect, which by all accounts is better than the PS3 motion capture system.
You're talking to a guy who didn't get away from cassettes until the turn of the century. Blueray means nothing to me.
It won't until you watch BBC's Planet Earth in high def.
Warning: Never drift off to sleep while playing the disc with the "Caves Ecosystem" episode. If you wake up to cave spiders, you won't go back to sleep for a while.
A loooooong while.
;D
