Just found out they are in China. :-\
I bought mine from Leatherup and used the easy to find 10% off coupon. First one melted...customer service was excellent and sent me out a new one but then I developed issues that went away when I switched back to a lead acid battery. Too bad because I really wanted to love this battery.

A123 is now owned by the Chinese. I believe, I could be wrong. Sujyz is running these on her M695 I believe.
I've been advised to stay away from Chinese-made batteries and stick with US-made ones. Bought two batteries from Batteries +...one for the Ducati (lasted 6 months) and one for the Harley, lasted 1 year, and stranded me 225+ miles from home in BFE. Since then, no problems with the US-made batteries and there no previous charging issues as nothing was changed subsequent to the charging system - only new item was the battery.
Your mileage may vary.
My chinese made AGM battery on my SS is going on it's 4th year.
If it dies, I can buy two more before it equals the cost of the Yuasa version.
I've had roadside issues before too, that's what AAA is for.. :-)

Proves people are very different. I'd pay a fair sum of money NOT to break down on the side of the road....AAA or not. Predators are always waiting for easier game...and that is something I don't intend to be.
After some research, I put a new Anti-Gravity battery in my Victory and it's working great so far...but it has only been a few months...
I think I would have a different opinion if it was a touring bike and I was traveling, but given the fact I ride within a 30 minute drive from my home these days, and I have multiple bikes to buy batteries for, my priorities are different, agreed.
I'm going with these guys
