Here ya go! I wondered when someone was gonna make a production run at this. Looks like a good winter project. The real interesting question is can we get the Speedy Moto belt covers center rings anodized by Ducabike to match exactly........ Having a Clear moving clutch mandates open belts........
Click on this link only if you have a generous bank account cause it's gonna cost ya!

I love the look and the idea and I was gonna do my own from cutting up a stock clutch cover. Then I realized that it probably wouldnt be allowed on the track like that.
I saw those on eBay the other night. Then I saw the price...
eh. don't like em.
rather spend the money on a dry clutch conversion.

I.e. an engine swap.
All the research I gathered was that it is cheaper and easier to just swap for an equal displacement engine with a dry clutch.
There was a sport 1000 that got a dry clutch via the DP 848 dry clutch kit and even that took a bit of work. And that kit is not cheap.
I also looked into using a dry clutch side case cover and swapping the bits but that the primary gears would need to be swapped as well as the oil pump. And that the pushrod would be too short as well or something.

if you look that kit isn't cheap because it's a slipper and mag side cover. both of which are extremelly expensive compared to stock parts.

I know but if you're wanting a dry clutch just for the sake of having a dry clutch in a bike that didnt come with one, its a bit over kill.
This part by ducabike is a really nice looking alternative. It the price was 50% of what it is.
Does the kit come with a slipper clutch? I did not see that because if it does it is a heck of a deal....... The primary reason I liked the dry clutch was the nifty moving parts, I wanna hear my pipes rumble, not my clutch clatter. Although I could see a serious fit thrown if the clear cover got scratched.........
I am like a freaking parrot, attracted to anything shiny. I should'a picked up tin foil origami for a hobby, would'a been a hell of a lot cheaper ;D
Slipper dry clutch kit for 848
Dry slipper clutch kit for 848. Improves rear wheel tracking even under aggressive downshifting. This complete kit consists of primary gear, hub with clutch drum, clutch housing, plates set, pusher plate and billet aluminium cover.

fits on 848
This looks pretty cool...for the sake of spinning bling at least. I too am not a fan of the open clutch racket - sounds like something is broken or loose, it would drive me nuts. But they sure do look cool...
I knew someone with a similar part on a TL1000, it leaked like crazy. I would hope this part would not have that issue, but the price seams high for just a side cover. I would think with the oil being flung off the clutch at most times it would be hard to see through anyways.

The dry part has nothing to do with improving the rear wheel tracking...that's all the slipper, and there are wet versions too for less than the $1700 dry conversion cost.
I personally don't get the love for dry clutches other than the look (which is definitely cool). Otherwise wet are nicer for pretty much everything.
sorry that part of the quote was directly from the DP catalog
Initially I loved the clear cover. Now, the more I look at it the less I want it. It is not as mechanical looking as a dry clutch and the clear plastic looks kinda cheap when compared to a real dry clutch. As Storm said, "spinning bling". For $900+ there are far more cool things to do to my bike.
I am just about to finish up with changing the plastics to CF. Four parts left! While CF is bling it beats the heck outta plastic IMO. Makes it that much harder to want to put a big piece of clear plastic on my bike.
Neat, but Ducabike did not add a ton of value with this part (my opinion of course).
Well, after adding my SpeedyMoto Leggero covers I remembered a video I had seen and thought I would give it a try in the quest for spinning bling. Figured my friends would call me Squiddly, so I used grease pencil first. When they saw it some of them wanted detailed instructions. The others called me Squiddly. [laugh]

PS: Agree with you re the DucaBike clear cover price, even though it includes a new side case. Comparitively, the SpeedyMoto Leggeros probably cost more considering what they actually consist of. Plus, the middle one requires rework to install correctly. :-(
I was going to go open belts (and Speedy Covers) and had already planned the grease pencil mod in the video. Then I realized that I did not like the look of the 2013 Speedy covers as much as the earlier versions. While staring at the video of the spinning belts I also realized that the engine case has (for lack of a better term) a "lip" that the covers sit on. IMO it leaves the bike looking like something is supposed to be there that is not. Besides If I can't have spinning bling on both] sides on my bike what's the point [cheeky]
Going CarbonVanni for the belt covers for my bike.
I really loved to look of the Speedy Moto red pressure plate and black 7 spoke cover, and I will miss them, butt the Bimota that I now have inexplicably has a wet clutch, and I will just have to live with that.
It does sound a bit more civilized.

I'm the opposite re the original Leggeros vs the 1100 EVO style. I did not feel that way initially, but a few days of looking at the picture, I thought I would give them a try and sell them if I didn't like them. Luckily, once installed, I was happy with them.
Agree with you re the raw edges showing. On the EVO, they are about 90 % hidden because of the exhaust. You mainly see the covers, and very little of the engine case edges. I have a pic in another thread.
You can never go wrong with CarbonVanni. [thumbsup]
