I see quite a number of liter bikes and 'busas that could suffer this treatment too. [evil]

hahaha. i'd have to write very very small on any of the rears in the group that I ride with. most of us have about a half of an inch max...
you really don't even need to be going FAST.... just lean that make the beast with two backser over!
That's how I know I haven't been having enough fun on a bike. Even my 84 Harley isn't that bad.
he must live in Oklahoma [bang]
I think a U-turn would scrub more edge......... ;D
I'm a pussy....... [bang]
Things are slow tonight [roll]
That stuff irritates me. And most the time the guy giving you shit about your chicken strips doesn't have any, but has the most horrible body positioning ever.
I'm not even going to lie, my monster has 1/2 inch - 3/4 inch strips on both sides. Because it's mainly used for commuting. My track bike on the other hand. The sides wear out faster than the center. Lol
yeah, i'm more worthy than you.
Chicken strips on a streetbike are not a sign of riding like a weenie, They are a sign of intelligence. Only a fool runs a tire off it's edges anywhere besides a track....... Just my opinion. Although as a former fool, I feel it a valid one......... 8)
I scrape my pegs on every turn in nyc.
NYC? Probably have to ride like that just to avoid the Taxi cabs........ 8)

Now the question is, would they try to rub it off by actually leaning the bike over or buy a new tire. My money is on the latter.

+1 Then again, they may not even notice it.
back in the day, we had a couple of apprentices. one with fzr400, other with rgv250. I had a kr1s250. at work track days I could ride around both of them. the fzr fella was always complaining about his tyres sliding, they were worn all the way to the edge front and rear and he was leaning it off the edge of them. my rear might have been close to the edge, front not.
then he finally did a css level one school. afterwards I asked him if his tyres were ok now. he said they were fine, now that he understood what he was doing wrong and was turning the bike, not just leaning it.
he was much faster on his r1, but with much less tyre usage too.
tyre usage doesn't always equate to riding speed, it's about style/technique too. and some people use none of any just happily.
bam... take that chicken stripe [bow_down]
