the idea of traction control being the right hand as opposed to the ideas of almost being slushboxes as suggested here -> http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2013/Sep/130917evol.htm (http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2013/Sep/130917evol.htm) ....and well, on the other idea of engine capacity and configuration of what he is suggesting....I think that is about as likely to happen as a Seniors GP Racing series ( which would be cool to see 40 and over GP racers duking it out and sparking old rivalrys)....

There is no turning back from the electronics. We will eventually see all bikes on the same software, forcing the engineers to go back to innovating frame and engine design instead of making a bike that can practically ride itself. MotoGP should have banned seamless transmissions from the get go.

the problem is this....DORNA/FIM make a rule or a set of rules and the engineers are then paid to find out how to circumvent it in either the most extreme or the most obscure way even if they know they are violating the spirit under which said rule was written...they view it as a challenge in the "how to get around it game"....

Yeah, but banning electronics? No make the beast with two backsing way. The stock ECU is as far as they'll go. Stoner's article was his own way of saying that he'll be back when hell freezes over. He knows that 90% of the paddock is scared shitless of the power the current bikes make.

I remember the exact concerns about the extra power expressed by Lorenzo and Pedrosa when they switched to 1000cc. They made no secret that they were very concerned.

When the bikes goes so incredibly fast and run so incredibly hot that asbestos riding suits are needed, he'll whine about it itching....
he point is valid though.
imagine if the current 1000cc bikes had zero ride by wire and abs and tc and etc etc
THEN he would have a bike that would do what HE wanted it to do.
then you would see, Marquez, Stoner and maybe Rossi as the top three.
