12 O'Clock Boys Official Trailer 1 (2013) - Documentary HD (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZpT8PRSchU&feature=player_detailpage#)
Destruction of property, reckless endangerment, etc.....
Nevermind that when (not if) they get hurt, that society likely picks up the bill, just what they needed was a glorification film. :(
I like them 12 O Clock Boyz...because when BPD impounds their bikes, I can get a decent dirtbike for less than the crackheads are tryin to sell them for on CL...
This is a tough one for me. I want to HATE the street stunting crowd. However, any of us that have carved our way up a blind canyon at speeds that challenged either our skills or our tires, have put others at risk.
I will never forget the kid who tossed his GSXR under the front of a young couples truck in Joshua Tree. I spent an hour trying to keep the kid alive. While the kid spent at least as much time holding his girlfriend that was nearly catatonic from shock.
The kid that broadsided a water truck on Angeles Crest at high speed. He bent the truck, the driver has to live with that image. After many years of "playing" motorcycle I have seen enough to know that we do not just endanger ourselves when we play to hard.
These days we have movies that glorify everything from robbing banks to killing people. Where do we draw the line on what is right and wrong?
Sorry that got to deep. [coffee]

It does give way to deep thinking. A lot of us grew up raising hell thru our suburban neighborhoods on dirt bikes and mini bikes. Looks like these kids are doing the same things but with much ballsier moves, esp with how the title comes about for the film. Seems better them doing something requiring skills rather than running around robbing stores and setting shit on fire.

I don't put these guys as necessarily "stunters" because the root of what they do is more in the nature of their disregard for authority and how they are expressing it....I have to give Stunters more credit as more of them seem to be containing a majority of their antics to parking lots and other non-trafficed areas. The other distinguishing thing me for me as to why they are not "stunters" is because they are using dirt bikes with generally no street legality and stunters use a streetbike generally with a tag ( if it is on the street).
Ya, I'll pass.
Honey Boo Boo's on bikes.
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
THIS!!! ^^^ [laugh] [laugh]
Please do not tell those 12:00 boys about helmets.......... ;D
Not impressed. Positive role models are lacking.
i don't know that movie looks like it'll be baddass
ride your own ride, right?
Films like this spark conversation.
Looks like its working.
I'll watch. [popcorn]
Yea, well my hemorrhoids spark conversation but they sure aren't good.
Y'all are a bunch of haters. This looks dope. It's a movie, it's got bikes. I sat through a few Fast and the Furious, this already looks to be better.

you know someone had to do it right?
Grew up in Balto. Seeing these kids on the street is actually pretty scary, and fascinating at the same time. Albeit, if you find yourself in one of the neighborhoods they ride, roll your windows up and keep driving. It's kind of like "The Wire" meets Evel Knievel.

About the same but on a different level or maybe exactly the same on every level as watching Mylie Cyrus do the giraffe tongue.
Poorly veiled chauvinist responses are noted in this thread. I expect more from the DMF community. [coffee]

"I been on dis erf for a decade and a couple years, what dat makes me"?
So sad....... [roll]
Has it been so long since y'all were young, stupid and rebellious? I sure did some dumb "ess" in my teenage years.
While this is horribly tragic, I get it. I will be watching this for sure.

Still don't get it, I cannot imagine having that no respect attitude on a bike even when I was a rebel with knob tires. As far as tragedy, they are trying to live on whatever edge they can find and have some fun so someone is going to get hurt and they live with that. And as far as the "Poorly veiled chauvinist responses" that is a low statement about the community who does not care what color the bikes are.
Locked in 3 - 2 -1

That movie needs some catchy music like this.

Blatant, unmoderated, racist comments on the DMF, are you %#^%ing kidding me? Just try mocking someones vernacular like that IRL...let's see how long you keep your front teeth. But I'm sure you know that already.

Not blatant, same ole "I'm just kidding, I'm not a racist" jokes that I put up with at work.

Criticism does not always equal racism. Ridicule also does not always equal racism.
Yeah, that's it!! [roll]. Wow... I really can not believe how slow some of you are. But keep commenting before the lock...I want to know who I'm talking to from now on.
Nobody mentioned race at all and I expect it to stay that way.
No lock.
If you guys want to attribute the language Zoom posted to people of a certain ethnicity I ask who is being biased?
I have plenty of urban youth clients of many colors that speak that way.
Lets get back to the biking issue though shall we?

Actually, that is it. Why don't you make an argument, rather than just call people racist?

Oh I'll be more than happy too as soon as I get a moderator's permission. Lol that you think I can't. Good thing I'm not the only one who sees it.
the insults to members will get this locked before any discussion does.
Bikes, folks, bikes.
Openly insulting...like mocking someones vernacular?

You seem to be the king of assumptions, because I never said you couldn't make an argument, and I'm fairly certain you can't read my mind.
This is pointless though (which is why I deleted the post you quoted), so I'm out. Feel free to ignore my racist ass. ;)
Back to the topic...I'll still pass.
Anyway I remember trying to run from the cops on my Dirt bike back in the day. Got away a couple of time too.

Oh, yes I'm pretty insecure.
I thought the big flip off sign that I cant see anymore was directed toward me. But evidently not. I must have been mistaken. My bad.

We've already had this discussion and you agreed to leave your sensitivities and activism at the door...
obviously you are not a man of your word.
