Hey Guys, this is my first post.
I'm currently living in La Vernia, Texas - just east of San Antonio. I've been riding since before I could drive - my first vehicle was a Honda 250XL Enduro, and I drove that for a couple years before I got my first car. I've had motorcycles off and on, pretty much all my life - although I've been without one for about the last 6yrs or so. My last bike was a Suzuki TL1000R. The TLR is when the V-twin bug bit me, I was actually in the market for another one, when a buddy of mine who has a Monster 1000, (MurDuc on this site) talked me into looking at Ducati's.
So, I recently purchased a black on black, '09 Monster 1100. It only had ~1700 miles on it when I got it, (its got closer to 6000 miles on it now). I primarily ride it to commute, with the occasional blast through the Texas Hill Country. I haven't figured out how to post a pic, or Id post up a couple. The bike already had SpeedyMoto frame sliders and clutch cover when I purchased it. As far as mods, I haven't really done any - unless you consider removing the fork reflectors and frame sitckers to be a mod. The thread with the LED headlight mod has got me thinking though...
Its funny, but I actually saw this site shortly after it was created - MurDuc showed me the Hitler parody vid (lulz), and told me about how awesome the Hill Country meets are. BTW, I'm a brewer as well. ;) [drink]
