Saw that earlier, it's pretty damned sweet, that's for sure.
Oh my. [thumbsup]
good googley moogley....that is just suhweet!
That's gonna suck only having 2" of fork travel.
???
The idea is good, but they forgot to get a second opinion along the way [coffee]
Front brake rotor, front fender, fork travel, swingarm too long and looks like it isn't going to be stiff, but most of all that paint scheme is very uninspired....
Please try again - it can be quite nice [thumbsup]
details details..
a 4v mono, full trellis sub 300lb bike with trellis SSS
sure, they cheaped on the forks, and the swingarm guy is a Busa fan, but still,
THIS is the bike Ducati should be introducing this November.
saw that bike this past weekend at the Brooklyn Invitational Custom Motorcycle Show.

wasn't my fav at the show.
RSD makes some great looking stuff, no doubt.
Functionality is another story, a buddy of mine has a bike built by them, very problematic.
It ain't no Flight Cycle. [thumbsup]

Unfortunately, the details are important.
You can't sell a bike with no blinkers or mirror.
It wouldn't pass any noise regulation or emissions.
It doesn't even have a freaking license plate.
It's easy to make a bike really light and cool and minimalist looking when you leave a bunch of the necessary stuff off.
Lots of folks get a big boner over bikes like this.
But that's all you get, a big boner over a bike you could't ever ride.
fine, someone commission me to build a bike for them.
[evil]

Was bout to post the same bike, as I saw it on Bike EXIF [coffee]
The gas tank and seat are ok. The headlight and exhaust are sweet. I could puke on everything else [thumbsdown]
God and the more I look at it the more I hate it. I take back the headlight comment due to those stupid mother of pearl costume jewelry looking cut outs on it and the exhaust is still cool but only if it wasn't on that horrible bike.
Arm chair quarterbacking is easy, building a custom is not.
Kudos to him and his team.
There really is a lot of cool stuff on that bike. I just can't get over those forks. Can anyone explain why? Why do forks like that even exist?
on the cheap, stock forks cut down to fit the desire profile
There is a whole lot of work in the details on the bike that make it world class. I also agree with Buck, I could puke on it overall but there are some amazing details.

All black, with a proper fork. Hell yeah.....
I too saw that bike at the Brooklyn Invitational. There were many awesome rides there that trump this one. Many of which were outside the show. I will post up tomorrow.
Love it
But
The frame needs to be orange

Put some bar end mirrors on it, and I could get it registered in my state. Signal lights are not required. License plate can be mounted anywhere as long as it is illuminated.
RSD is kind of running the same trap line as many, many bikes I've seen on BIKEEXIF. Strip it down, get a 70s vibe tank, low profile seat, and snub up the exhaust, then add clip ons. It's already become a cliché.
Both this bike and his recent BMW Concept 90 are interesting though. The details are stronger than the overall bike in both instances. The wheels for one, are fantastic looking on both. The BMW in some views is fantastic, stumpy as hell in others. I'm glad RSD did the KTM, though there's nothing new in the approach. The (very) limited fork travel worries me, but I do understand it's a show bike. Odd graphics on the tank (stripes across the cutout??)
