Decided to swap my beloved TL for something with AWD...
Road Trip!
That's a nice theif. :D
i blame the white kid
It was the lady in that white pickup. Shes been casing the neighborhood, just parking here and there behind those tinted windows. She pays those two kids in Gummy bears to act as a distraction while she pulls it off.
I'm gonna call BS on this.
Furthermore I'm prepared to go right out on a limb and suggest that the BMW is actually yours.... and you're just too damned embarrassed to admit it.
;D

Now if you could only get your neighborhood crackhead to do the same for you...
LOL.
Don't get me wrong, I loved everything about my Acura *except* that it wasn't AWD.
I searched high and low for a car that was comparable in virtually every way but also added AWD.
The 2009+ TLs are butt ugly or I would have went that route.
She's a 2008 535xi.
And the twin turbo 3.0 inline 6 is a friggin' locomotive engine...300ft/lbs or slightly above from 1400rpms to 5000rpms. It doesn't have a torque curve...it has a torque line.
Pics of it smoking all 4 please.
Maybe they'll come steal my worn out Mazda 6 wagon next.

and "pimp your ride"?
Do you know the difference between a porcupine and a BMW? A porcupine has the pricks on the outside.....
I had a C330 convertible and I actually got tired of how people looked at me when I was at a stop light. It was either being insanely good looking or it was the car.
Nice ride ;)

Last month it was reported by the Wall Street Journal that BMW drivers really are the biggest douchebag drivers on the road today. The publication even had statistical evidence to back up this claim. But today things are going a little more in-depth in regards to which of those BMW drivers are the absolute worst of the worst when it comes to asshole driving. According to the Daily Mail (a publication that’s always striving for journalistic integrity), men who drive blue BMWs "are more likely to be aggressive than motorists in any other car." - See more at: http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2013/9/15/UPDATE-Drivers-of-Blue-BMWs-are-the-Douchebag-Elite-7716232/#sthash.BV8yN9qL.dpuf (http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2013/9/15/UPDATE-Drivers-of-Blue-BMWs-are-the-Douchebag-Elite-7716232/#sthash.BV8yN9qL.dpuf) Specifically, these are guys between the ages of 35-50, and blue was identified as the most aggressive color, with black, silver, green and red following. However, this study was conducted in the UK, another country that apparently has douche BMW drivers [laugh]
Wait... Top Gear lied to us? :o They've been telling us that BMWs are okay again, because all the pricks have gone over to Audi...
0-60 in 4.02s?
418whp/476lb/ft?!?! :o
JUST from bolt ons and a tune?!?!? :o :o :o
Granted, this was *just* a 535i so no AWD to deal with...but still. He is hoping to drop below 4.0 once his LSD is installed.
Plans for "Greta Von Bayerische" is as follows:
So far, I have tinted the windows. 35% driver and passenger with the rear "3" 5%.
I have ordered the DTec V7 H8 64w LED setup for the Angel Eyes...and an amber H8 HID setup from Theretrofitsource.com for the fogs.
I still need to take pics of it with the windows tinted...looks a ton better just with that done alone.
My first set of plans are to complete the cosmetic mods.
Stance and wheels...(Stock wheels would be retained for winter tires...or I would try to find a set of the 19inch 10 spoke M Sport wheels for that task...)
20" Matte Black concave Split Spokes:

1.4" front and 1.3" rear lowering springs:

Body:
Matte black grilles and matte black all the chrome (Plastidip most likely...):
Color matched rear roof and trunk lip spoilers:
Possibly considering the side lower front bumper splitters...but not sold yet on this...
As for performance, I know an intake is in the picture...most likely the aFe twin cone intake:

Exhaust is still undecided but I will definitely end up looking for one that I like. Seems to be less available for the AWD version of the 535...
And tuner...that being once the exhaust and intake are done and possibly doing the AccessPort V3...
Considering the P3Cars integrated vent/gauge. I dig the all in one concept.

Also thinking about the Sprint Booster "Drive-by-wire Enhancement Module". It is supposed to help eliminate the initial throttle pedal dead spot which I had to adapt myself to on my Acura too. The BMW's is much more pronounced though.
As for brakes, I am hesitant to do slotted or cross drilled rotors since the very HIGHLY recommended and "high dollar" set I added to my Acura made it sound like a wheel bearing was going out. But if I can find a decent brake upgrade without having to suffer the extra noise of the drilled rotors, I will most likely go that route.
I have a picture in my head of what I am looking for and want to run with it.
Aside from the exhaust, everything above is well within reason for weekend work and not breaking the bank.
This made me laugh...

Well...good news/bad news...looks like the only mods are going to be cosmetic...at least until July 19th, 2015.
Seems that the CPO warranty was transferred to me and is good until July 19th, 2015 or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
The PO also had the BMW Presence Plus plan which was transferred as well. That covers tires, wheels and paintless dent repair...
So, for now, the performance mods are on hold. Having to swap stuff out for warranty service is going to be too much of a pain in the ass.
So I will do the wheels (easy to swap just in case) and cosmetic mods and hold off on the warranty voiding stuff until the warranty expires.

That inline 6 is a sweet engine. I'd love to have a 535i w the manual trans - total sleeper. With a little bit of encouragement ($$) that motor will make nearly 100 more hp. The amount of power they leave on the table is ridiculous. I have a buddy with a 335 that's got an ecu piggyback and a new air cleaner that's putting down somewhere around 400hp.
