Hey Everybody.

Steve from Vancouver area.  I went with "Bonster" to reflect my two favourite material objects in the world - my bikes.  I have had a '06 S2RK since '07, and I'm approaching 50,000 km on this bike, which I love like a child, and flog like a mule.  Three years ago I bought a '02 Triumph Bonneville, which I'm also very fond of.  I bought the Bonne to slow down a bit and enjoy other aspects of riding, but I keep modding it to try to make it faster [roll].  I've lurked on this site for a while and appreciate the humour, knowledge and comeraderie.

Been riding a while.  Got my first street bike in '78, a '77 KZ400, back when beginner bikes were gutless.  Some of my favourites over the years were a '80 750F Honda, a '85 FZ 750 Yamaha, and a '97 CBR1100xx.  I put 50,000 miles on the Blackbird and went from that to my Monster.  So I've had faster bikes, but I've never had a bike that was so much fun to ride fast as my S2R.

Pics are worth thousands of words so here's me.  I tour, I commute,  I track, I ride for the sheer joy...just want to share the passion with y'all. [wine]

Good to see you here Betts!  ;) You should tell them what you've done to that engine.  8) Nice intro though, unlike most

Nice looking Cranberry / White T-100 too. Are those the Ikons I have on the back of mine?

Outed after one post. ;D

Performance mods are Termis, Spark mid-pipe, open air box, DP chip, lightened flywheel, cams balanced and blueprinted.  Cosmetic/comfort mods are Cycle Cat clutch cover, CF anywhere there was plastic, buncha STM, Rizoma, Evoluzione and Speedy Moto gold accent bits, CRG levers and Arrow mirrors, Porducrider fairing braces, and finally, engine cases painstakingly hand polished.  Here's the chain side.

And Curmudgeon, the Bonneville is actually not a T-100, it's the 100 year anniversary Triumph Bonneville.  I think the only difference was no tach, but I've added mini speedo and tach.  It's not Cranberry and white, it's Scarlet and silver, which, since curmudgeons are usually old, you may recognize as a replica of the iconic '68.  Those are Ikon shocks, which are good enough for that lump.  Here's a track day on the Bonne at the local airport.  We shall speak of Triumphs no more.  Don't want to get banned.

Track day?! Was that before or after you fitted the Sport Demons?  ;D The color is more obvious in your 2nd snap. They may have used your combo on the 2014 Scrambler in reverse? http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/jpg/201309/2014-triumph-scrambler-3w.jpg (http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/jpg/201309/2014-triumph-scrambler-3w.jpg)

Agreed about the Ikons. They're a decent all-around solution and exponentially better than stock!  ;) Mine were built for my weight and riding style, not ordered off a website, so they might be a hair better than yours. Those Aussies who bought all the Koni tooling know Triumphs and vintage bikes and have an amazing range of progressive springs. Customer service is also great. A pal has been trying to get a pair of Ohlins tuned for the street and although Ohlins has been more than cooperative, no way do they work as well as these Ikons.

Polish job looks great! Too bad I didn't know you when I had my Pantah.  ;D

This is the civilized Monster forum. You won't get banned here as long as you follow wardroom rules.  8)
