I bought a 3 circuit solution from Eastern Beaver and installed heated grips to go with it! They are nice with the Woodcraft bar risers, I'm turning this thing into a touring bike!
you just started this thread to rub it in that you're on a bimota while we're all on lowly ducatis, didnt you...
not cool. not cool at all. go find your own board.
[/jealous rant]
[/sarcasm...just in case anyone didn't get it [thumbsup]]
and as always, pics or it didn't happen!
Hey, it's a Ducati at heart!

Batteries... :-* [laugh]
They aren't current anymore.........
Spikes Mota-bike swings both ways. You know those Bi folks, they will rub up against whatever feels good. No loyalty whatsoever. ;D

Those are very cool! I don't know how available they are tho.....
Just installed a controller for my electric jacket liner! It is switched with the ignition, like the grip heaters...

That is it next to the ignition switch.
Man that frame and swingarm set up is killer! [drool]
I just installed new timing belts! The ones in the bike seem to be original, from 7/07, so I changed them even tho they looked just fine.
I watched the vids that Chris did and it was a piece of cake. My tuner app didn't help at all, so I went with the Allen wrench method and got the same result as the belts already there, but just a bit snugger on the horizontal. It actually runs, too!
ZARD!!!
A set just arrived from Italy with NO cats!
Now to get some nice ceramic coating on them, maybe the shiny kind.........
Ok, I skipped the coating and went ahead...... It turned out that there was only one cat, and it was in the middle of the front header. The other two parts were the same as were on the bike, so I just installed the front pipe, it starts easier and runs smoother in the 3-4k range, so a worth while improvement, however, it now sounds like a jalopy!
I keep looking for something loose, butt everything is nice and tight!
It turned out that there was a plug missing in the pipe, got it installed and now it sounds like a proper Ducati hotrod!
A package just arrives from Areostich with an EarCannon air horn that is going in next!
I'm really having to look hard to find things to do on this thing!
For my Bimota DB4ie I bought LSL bar risers, new stainless brake lines, Ducati 999 radial brake and clutch masters, Gianelli exhaust, posted heads, custom machined throttle bodies with knife edged butterflies and machined down butterfly shafts, PC3 and new tires.
[shot]
Woo Hoo! Sounds like big fun!
[thumbsup] on your successful belt change. [beer]
I just received a set of MWR air filters for the DB5R. They look really nice, pre oiled and everything! Now I have to remove the tank and body work so I can also install the Ear Cannon!
Next up will be a set of those fancy-dancy wires for the starter circuit and ground, then the Shorai.................
I installed the MWR air filters and they appear to work nicely, the bike feels stronger and the fueling seems fine.
The big deal is the HICAP II starter cables! When starting from cold it would really labor and require 3 tries to get running, now with temps in the 30's it jumps into life in less than a second, like it was fully warmed up! What a huge difference those cables make!
The air horn is fitted inside the fairing on the left side and it makes a lot more noise than the stock one, butt when a car was close to invading my space recently I blipped the throttle and got the same result as a loud horn, the driver look up and moved over!
Ok, I didn't buy this, I made it. For controlling the heated jacket.

That machining is beautiful (the clamps) [drool]
Thanks, koko, there is more of it elsewhere on the bike!
I just got an Eclipes tankbag and it fits like it was made for the bike! Lots of capacity, expandable, and the mounting system is very easy to manipulate, unlike the Givi strap setup.

dang...everything is so nice...even down to the kick stand. [thumbsup]
The level of detail on this thing is insane!
The fuel tank ... Is that polymer or metal?
:'( not metal. there are a few ally ones out there somewhere. this one seems to be working ok tho........
EVR gold clutch slave cylinder! Blingy-blingy! it goes with the forks and wheels, tho.........
