Hello DMF! Been lurking for a couple years on and off, decided to finally sign up and post.
I have had a 2003 Ducati Monster 620ie Dark sitting in my garage for 6 years. Not running. Not maintaining it. Not mine. Don't really care about it. Why, you ask? It's my girlfriend's bike that she bought new and, well, despite the lowering kit it is still too tall for her and quite a lot of bike for her too, but that purchase was "pre-Mr.Maim" ;) so I had no input there. It has been sitting with a murky cloud of "I'm not sure if I want to sell it or keep it" hanging over the bike for... well... since new.
The 2003 M620ie has 64 miles on it. YES, SIXTY FOUR MILES on the odometer.
I'm tired of looking at it. It needs to run. Motorcycles need to run. So I've decided to get it running and then she can decide if she wants to have some custom seat work done to narrow and lower it, or just take a huge loss and get rid of it altogether. I'm an occasional rider with a soon-to-be-traiding-in-this-POS-Kawasaki-KLR650-for-something-that-doesnt-suck bike so there is an incentive for her to ride it, but we'll see how it goes.
I want make it go VROOM again!
So, I'll be starting a thread on this bike in the next day or so, and will get to work on it in earnest over the xmas holidays. Fortunately the weather is always nice here in Arizona so riding season is year 'round.
