As I sit at my computer, it's roughly 0630 Thanksgiving morning, and I have two more hours of a 24 hour shift before I get to go home and begin my small Thanksgiving at home with my girlfriend. This has been an unexpected year. Things are stressful, money has been tight, and work hasn't turned out to be as beneficial as I've been hoping. But, through it all I am more thankful this year than I have been in a long time.
I don't know what it is about the approaching holiday season, but I find myself at peace, calm, and ready to take on whatever life throws at me. I don't get the time to post on the forum as often as I'd like, but the sense of community here always makes me feel welcome. Some of you know a little about me, and the past couple of years has been rocky, with a deployment to Afghanistan, a divorce, and all that it entails. However, regardless of the direction my life takes in the near future, I am incredibly grateful for the gifts that have been bestowed upon me.
I hope all of you can find a measure of the tranquility that I have found in life, and that you all enjoy the holidays however you spend them.
Happy Thanksgiving to my DMF family!!!
Warmest Regards,
Adam
