It is with great sadness to tell you that Donald Wristen, "cyclone" on this board, passed away on the 18th.
Donald was such a great person and a joy to be around. He will be greatly missed.

Donald touched so many lives with his gentle spirit and easy-going nature, it is a privilege to have known him.
Godspeed.
A celebration of Donald's life will be held at Sparkman-Crane funeral home on Garland Road on January 18th at 3:00 p.m.
Donald was a man of great persona and everyone loved his infectious smile. :'(
Thanks for the pics! Good memories of good times.
Great pictures to save a and remember, thanks. He will be very missed.
Reminder everyone that tomorrow is Donald's service.
I just spoke with Cathy, Donald's Wife, and the DFWM group is encouraged to wear motorcycle (Ducati or Beemer) attire. Cathy believes Donald would love that and I fully agree with her.
Alan and I will be there.
There's a reception following the memorial:
4 - 6pm
Regency Hotel
Jupiter & LBJ
Looking forward to seeing you there
What a beautiful sunny day to honor the memory of Donald. He was an honorary Ducatisti on his Bimmer and was part of some great times had by this group. Maybe in the afterlife he's finally riding the Ducati he always wanted! [Dolph]
See y'all at 3 and at the reception following.
Well, a sad day. But what a beautiful ceremony. I'm so glad to have known Donald. I just wish I had had more time to hang out with him.
It was good to catch up with a few folks I hadn't been in touch with lately. I'll make sure the next time we meet it will be under better circumstances.
The service for Donald had a great turnout! Shows what a man of character he was and a good role model to follow.
It was good to see his riding friends there for sure!
Indeed great to see everyone. Lets try and get together more often, things have slowed here, and not under times like these.
Donald's character was on full display, a great man indeed.
Crap guys... sorry I'm late to the party on this one, but this is sad to hear. Sorry for everyone's loss (the Ducati family's especially).
Wow. I'm extremely saddened to hear this. Donald was always the first person to send me some cheering or inspiring Facebook message in light of the slightest sign of distress. He was a genuinely good soul with a light that will continue to shine brightly in so many lives for long after his passing.
I know i've been off the boards for some time, and just came here after finding this out after a Facebook message went unanswered.
It's good to see the community is still going strong. Definitely miss you guys and hope for a reunion sometime soon.
Much love to Donald's family and those that knew him better. Things like this put it in perspective - how to live and how fleeting it is. Damn, what a loss.
Love,
Lucrece
This is terrible news, and that I only got it just now shows how unfortunately out of touch I have been with the group through the winter.
I met Donald only once on a noon hooky lunch in the Design District with some other fellow DFWMers 5 or 6 years ago. I knew from his posts that he was kind and generous to others, and I found him to be a very warm and friendly person. We need more people like Donald in this world.
