Remarkable accurate.
I grew up in the Denver area, and that's where it placed me.
Not even close to where I grew up or live.
You all talk bloody funny.
I'm apparently from New York, Birmingham Alabama and Honolulu.
I'm from the South East and Texas apparently [laugh]
Even though I'm not from anywhere on that map - Yonkers, New York and Jersey City... mixed with Miami ;D
New York
Yonkers
Newark
crazy accurate!!
spent half of my life in NJ
the other half in CT
and a sliver of it in Philadelphia
My map was about right.
JM
Pegged me within 100 miles.

Me too. New Englanders must be easier to pin down.
I call bullshit.
Despite having never lived there, apparently I talk like I'm from central Florida because I use the term "sunshower" when it's both sunny and raining.
it pegged me for Baltimore/DC/Richmond...
Pretty far from where I grew up or moved to. Apparently I should move to the west coast.
It put me on the entirely wrong coast.
Got me within 100 miles.

'cuz you call it a hero member... ;D
It placed me (accurately) in Denver, also said Madison WI (WTF :o).
Got thinking about it, I did carpool with a cheese-head for 4 years, it seems I picked up some of his dialect.
Ungeheuer, ??? , what tv shows do you watch?

damn, and here I would have pegged you for Rain-man-ian....
I'm an excellent driver.
Well, based on my current residence, off by 400 miles.
Based on where I grew up, off by 2,000 miles. [laugh]
Pegged me dead on. Grew up in Phoenix...
Pretty accurate for me, born and raised in southern California near the coast.
But there is a disturbing influence, from some NorthEast riffraff, apparently. [laugh]
Wrong cities, but showed the correct state as most red.

It put me at Reno, NV and Stockton, CA but upstate NY was all dark red which would nail it.

I have a challenge for that stupid computer program [evil] Which TV-shows and movies have I watched?
I'm apparently some sort of southwesterly American dude... which pretty much sums it up.
All the dark red is west of the Colorado/flatistan border and south of the northern border of California... Utah is almost yellow... that'll do.

Apart from sport... I dont watch TV.

Same here. Nw pa is a ways from Kansas
Last I checked.
Nailed it... Born and raised in Houston, Texas... Apparently we are the only ones who call the road that runs parallel with the interstate a "feeder road." Lol
Nailed me to a T.
New England with an emphasis on Maine and Mass, plus a little Colorado and the West coast. [thumbsup]
I wonder what would happen if they gave the same exact quiz 40 years ago. (pre-internet)
It appears that DMFers are learning each others slang.

Here in the mountains we call those "access roads."
JM
Pretty close...gave me Santa Rosa, Sacramento, and SLC. I'm a Nevada guy...grew up in Southern, and went to college in northern. Whole state was dark red.
I took it three times, the third time it had me nailed exactly to the city (Portland, Vancouver Wa, & Spokane). The first two times had me around the Bay Area & Salt Lake City. Some of the answers I knew what they were but I don't really use them (frontage road, median) and went back and changed those answers.
One of the big giveaways I changed was soda to pop. I used to say pop before I went into the army and changed to soda after that. Some of the other things I picked up from my wife, she's from Detroit.
She took the test and it had her exactly in Detroit.
It said i was from Springfield, MO. I'm from Venezuela and lived in Louisiana, Boston, Miami and Dallas.....way wrong.
WTF?! "Middle Earth"
Joel!! >:(
don't blame me if you answered every question with " the shire"
[laugh]

It got me in Fresno, Bakersfield, and Tucson. Never lived tin those places but it had the dark red area right where I lived most of my life in Northern California as well.
I still call it a "Po Boy" though and use the contraction Ya'll from time to time. Pick that up in the south when I lived there.
Changed an answer one of the main ones is "What do you call a drive-through liquor store?"
I claimed I had never heard of such a thing, in any case they don't have any on the west coast that I know of.
So it put me near Freemont and Santa Rosa which is about right.
