Hold on guys...........who and I say WHO is here the italian judge? All Denver listed restaurants would only get (IF) a 5/10 Maximum from me. Tried them all.
The only good one was once Il Fornaio downtown (8.5/10), which now has been closed and moved to Greenwood Village. Have not tried that location yet.
Barolo on 6th is good but way to expensive for what it serves. Maximum 7.5/10
PIATTI on 2nd 5.5/10
BUCA DI BEPPO is [puke] [puke] [puke] [puke] [puke]
One I can't recall the name. Located on E 6th and Leyden St. Was there once last year. Vote 9/10. Real good food and prices. I will post the name soon.
Patsy's Inn Italian Restaurant
3651 Navajo St
Denver, CO 80211-3038
(303) 477-8910
Used to be a good, casual, family place. Has anyone been in there since the sale?
Hopefully it has not gone the way of the other formerly great place on 38th that Hick bought and ruined. :'(
Three Sons Italian Restaurant
2915 W 44th Ave
Denver, CO 80211-1407

So you are saying that a chain restaurant (Il Fornaio) is the best Italian restaurant in Denver?
I say your taste buds are way off.
Blasphemy, pure blasphemy. <insert shaky head smiley>
New Rule -
Only FAMILY OWNED, preferably "FAMILY" owned, establishments are to be posted.
Corporate Owned, Chains and Franchises are not allowed on this list.
Anyone posting a chain or franchise as "among the best" should be banned and publicly flogged.

That is almost what I said. Il fornaio recived a good rating from me, but the other one (no chain) received the best. Will post the name once I recall it.
BTW.................. my rating is no blasphemy. Though being Swiss I was raised and grew up in MAFIA country 8) 8), known also as Italy. I don't mess with Burgers quality.......
so don't mess with Italian food quality. [coffee] [coffee]
Furhter Chefs at Il Fornaio are mostly italian, (no Itali/Amrican) and the one downtown was Italian. [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]
As far as chains go, Il Fornio was pretty good, and I am saddened that they have closed.
I am still one for supporting the little guy. [wine]

Hey now. Just because they can't make a motorcycle doesn't mean they can't make decent food. ;)

Wonderful new patio and service, unique and intersting wine selections, yummy food, great ambiance inside with two fireplaces to [wine] and.... <wheres the eating smiley? insert here> by.
And, possibly important to many: not nearl the Pearl St. riff raff (if that's not your thing). Just a short drive off 36 and Baseline.

I have no clue what they are like, just got the flyer and liked the location. No one down there cries when bikes park on the sidewalk. ;)

Pasquini's is very good, and on the cheap.
Great bread sticks! [thumbsup]
They also have a location on 17th, across from that overpriced dive, String's, as well as Lafayette, in the old Colacci's space.
Oh! I just remembered Cucina Colore in Cherry Creek. Fancy, expensive, and not terribly Italian, but it has an Italian sounding name ... :D
Seriously, though. What is the Italian place that's down on south Logan near Swedish?
Hey, Trailer,
When your family visits from the Old Country, do you take them to The Olive Garden?
(Following morning's news opens with "Police are investigating an explosion in East Denver. Witnesses report the red ST3 exploded when the young doctor started the bike.)
They have Olive Gardens (the restaurants, not actual "olive gardens") in Austria?
You two have absolutely no clue........................I would never take my folks to OLIVE SHIT GARDEN and I am not from AUSTRIA!!!! [clap] [clap] [clap]
