Title: Exhaust, reservoirs, grips and seat complete
Post by: DexterMorgan on February 22, 2014, 08:31:36 AM
Finally got the exhaust all buttoned up.  Also got the Rizoma reservoirs and brackets put on (even though they are not straight). Not too sure if I am crazy about the spider grips but overall I liked how it all turned out.  Next steps are going to be filter, Rexxer Re-flash and PC-V/dyno tune.  If I can stop spending money on shiny stuff.   :)    Let me know what you guys n' gals think so far.

Yes he does. :)

Bitubo makes a purdy one also, would match the red in his decal nicely. I love mine and it was a nice upgrade in performance as well.

You are both right about the shock/spring....is there a major difference in performance between the Bitubo and Ohlins?

Message Randy or Lyle @ Bellissimoto, they'll be glad to chat you up about them. I think they are really biased towards the Bitubo's tho. Gave me a killer deal on mine, custom built for me and I had it in well under a month from Italy. Nice thing about Ohlins is there is probably a lot more support in that they are always around at track days and such tuning them for people. Between the huge difference it made over my worn out Sachs, and that I ride pretty modestly on the street it didn't matter much to me. Also the Bitubo is an Italian company, and sexier.

I will call randy on Tuesday.  I am thinking i want to do a 41T rear sprocket with a new 15t in the front and D.I.D chain.  Probably DRIVEN sprockets and carrier.

Hey DM, would you be willing to take closer pictures of the reservoir BRACKETS please? I have the same reservoirs but I used the chrome plated ones that came with them. I just am not convinced that the brackets alone are worth the asking price. I'd like to see what they look like and where you attached them.

Are these what you have?

Thanks in advance!

Nice looking bike by the way.  [beer]

Looks great!!! I love that exhaust on there!!!

I think you should do the carbon center strip on the tank and the little carbon seat cap to tie in the instrument cover!

But love the bike!!!!

Well, that would look cool, but two things, I don't want to over do the carbon (for now), and i like the gray stripe that starts on the front fender and goes all the way to the tail.  Ya never know, maybe eventually every body panel will be CF.   :D
