Title: Dollar Shave Club...
Post by: Adamm0621 on February 22, 2014, 09:54:20 PM
I've been bombarded with ads for this thing on Facebook for a while now, and since I am suffering from insomnia again tonight, I decided to click the link and see what it was all about.  The marketing pitch on their website is ingenious, and I'm tired of spending an arm and a leg on razors, even though I've been a Gillette man my entire life.

Has anyone used their product yet?  I might be curious enough to sign up for it just to try the blades.  If they work as well as their marketing department says they do, then it'll be definitely worth it, considering the price.

Here's the link: https://www.dollarshaveclub.com (https://www.dollarshaveclub.com)

Any thoughts?

I do like the ads - did you see the toilet paper ad?  I don't know if the products are any good at all, but it is defiantly some fun marketing.

I've been using DSC for about a year. I just use the basic two blade one...my wife uses the second tier blades. I don't think the blades are as nice as Gilette...but they're good enough, especially for the price. They give you quite a few so you can change them a lot too, which helps. I like them.  [thumbsup]

Huh. Interesting concept.

Too much work for me though. I buy disposables and one of those suckers lasts me over a year getting used every other or every few days. I go with the grain, then across the grain then against it.

So I spend like $.60 a year or so ;D

You must have Bieber style facial hair!  ;D That or your one tough SOB! If I used a blade for a year there would be blood involved for the last 9 months (at least)!

I don't know why they last as long as they do. I just run em until I have to push kinda hard. Seems to take a while.
