they say if you increase speed for a bit
and then go back to where you were comfortable
it will help you read faster

I was good at 600wpm. I would pick a different color then red though.

Pretty cool. 600wpm was doable.

Interesting if it'll work for business though, as sometimes that requires slower reading due to the technical content. I'm sure reading a technical email at 600 wpm would be difficult. That would likely be a small % of emails though.

Great technology if people actual still read.  We are fast becoming a visual culture.

Interesting. Something about 550 would toss me off, but I could do the 600 wpm text. Neat stuff

I am at almost 800wpm.  Then again I was speed reading in grade school.  The average used to be around 450 to 500wpm when I was growing up.  I wonder if the speed at which people read has been increasing because of the internet?

2000 wpm would be seriously impressive. I was actually impressed with how easy 600 was to read. Blinking becomes a problem though.

I can do 2000wpm but my retention goes down to about 70%.  It also make books no fun at all.  Great for getting through a lengthy new article though.  ;D
