Title: Anyone running an open top POD filter? (carbed bikes)
Post by: Rudemouthsky on March 13, 2014, 07:34:41 AM
Dropped off my pistons at the Ducshop in ATL, and chatted with Mark Sutton for a minute. He suggested I switch to a POD filter with an open top design. Seems like such an obvious solution for better flow, kind of wondering why I hadn't seen it done with all the various woes people have with POD filters. Curious what the tuning experts like Brad and Koko have to say on it. Found these RX-4040-1's that have the same ID as the typical RU-1740's.

Nope. But my brother has used similar. BMC maybe? Said they were good but preferred the big flat style on his race bike.

I how wonder how they'd go with those K&N trumpets designed for pods that you mentioned awhile back?
