This is the teaser video my good friend Joel of TVMOTO and I are working on, It is all shot in the San Francisco Bay area of California. I'm the one on the Desmo D16rr. Please keep in mind, this is just the intro of the 20 min. show we're working on. The actual show will have interviews, street and track rides, points of interest in the area, etc... (plus. more engine sounds and less cuts. More content overall..) Hope you enjoy it, more to come ! Thanks, -joe-

Wow, I'd always assumed they would have trouble lofting the front wheel.

I'm glad I've been shown otherwise.  Who woulda thunk it??

You should retake the shot with matching leathers or all black.  The different color schemes by them self are ok individually, but the leathers and bike mixed together has something distracting about it.

But hey, gear is better than no gear.

The name is Joe Carrillo, I live in the Bay area of Ca. After waiting nearly 3 years on a list, I got the first one that came into the local dealership. The bike is awesome, beyond description. Yes it wheelies !
And yes I know the leathers don't match. ( I've got some all white leathers on order )
It seems you have a fairly tolerant forum here, I've gotten chewed-out about wheelies on the street on other forums, wasn't sure of what kind of reception I would have here. So far so good, Thanks... I'm an Ex-racer (AFM) and have done some other video game and film work in the past. Here are some examples..

Cool video man, I subscribed to the youtube channel.  Looking forward to your vid with less loud music and more loud bikesong!   [thumbsup]

What was that Wrecked video from, was it some TV show or something?  You were the dude that got pwned in it?   [laugh]

BTW, we who ride monsters can always forgive a well-placed wheelie!

The video of me riding the pocket bike, then it turns into a yellow Ducati, that was shown in the movie theaters with the Star Wars movie "The Phantom Menace" (back in 1999 I think ) it was for Creative Labs. The other vid (where I get kicked), is one of many different vid clips that you would see in the now classic video game " Road Rash "

This is gonna sound bad, and I don't mean it that way, but what's the point of all the wheelies?

ok, now flame away at me.

I like the wheelies.  Wheelies are fun and in teh video it looks like there weren't other cars around and teh road was empty.

When looking at a video of a D16, wheelie are cool, but the sound of the bike is what people want, that and seeing it rip up corners.  I understand that was the intro, looking forward to seeing the video!

Uh, yeah I did. But anyone who has ever even heard of the D16, wants to HEAR it. Nuff said...

If you are going to do a blurb, intro or full length about anything gearhead related, gearheads are gonna wanna HEAR the thing. Dim the music for a few seconds that's all it would have taken and I would have been happy to wait impatiently for the whole thing...

It's TV riding.

Kinda like on Top Gear, when they slide the car around every corner on the track. It's nothing like real world driving, but its entertaining on TV.

so to the OP,

Is the show going to be about bikes in general, or is it specific to Bay Area riders? I'm all about a good bike show...so I'll be subscribing to your YouTube channel.

The video will showcase bikes we have in are fleet as of now. KTM 690SMC, Ducati Hypermotard, Desmosedici, etc... The pilot is based out of our "backyard" as in, Woodside (alice's resturant) La Honda, Santa Cruz mountains, etc... Next we are planning shows filmed in europe and asia. (we hope) ! For now you can sign up at http://www.tvmoto.com to be kept up to date with our progress in the show as it develops.

Jokerio, you get a pass this one time because you were on the receiving end of it, but please read the forum guidelines.     If you're personally attacked ignore it or let us know...but the name calling and pissing match stops right now.

Weemonster, one smiley doesn't change the tone.  That was a pretty classless post and all it was ever going to do was start an argument.

If you guys know each other please point that out as it will cut down on the complaints from other members about the back and forth and I'll stay out of the inside jabs.  Then you can call each other asshats all day long   ;D

Yeah..it sure does look like there aren't any other cars around when squids make videos like this.  It's easy to cut out the traffic when the rider is doing a wheelie at 100mph.   [roll]

So far..looks like any other squid-vid to me.

I'll be waiting though for the final product when there's some real riding (not just wheelies) showing off the sounds of the D16 and all of the scenery the bay area has to offer.

He always arrives so early he has plenty of time to eat. The sleep part I have no answer for other than maybe he does get tired enough after 100 miles of wheelies etc.  [laugh]

What's the problem with wheelies? I'm as conservative a bike rider as they come,  [moto] but still love a good wheelie.
Except when I'm riding drunk, then it could be dangerous.
