Title: [S4RS] Trying to find an exhaust in 2014...
Post by: itsmebanky on May 16, 2014, 05:49:52 AM
Hi All,

I'm a new S4RS owner and predictably can't find any one stocking the more high end exhaust systems for this bike anymore. I'm specifically looking for a termi system but from what i gather, I'll have to wait for a part out or something on ebay. Is it possible to still buy the termi system slipon/full from a store, new? Currently eBay has a  ton of Mivv and titanium Arrow (i would want CF) but i dont want to "settle" for a system i won't be 100% happy with.

I think another option is to just get a mid-pipe as the stock cans are Remus cans, yeah?

Thanks for any help!

I believe your best bet is to deal with the manufacturer directly...so Arrow USA.  For Termi, you'd have to order from a Ducati dealership as they have exclusive rights to the Termi systems for Ducati.  If it's not in stock here they can definitely be ordered.

Get the Arrow.

I've never had to fight one on an install.
Termi, a fight nearly every time.

Every S4Rs that's come in with a full Termi system has a flat spot on the headerr tube that loops down (way lower than the sump).

Get the Arrow.

Arrow makes a good product.

edit:  I have a lightly used QuatD midpipe if that interests you.

Thanks bill but I think I'll wait for the arrow.

Would the arrow come with or need ecu and air filter?

Arrow will come with neither ECU nor air filter.

You can get the ECU reflashed, that's a quite common thing.

I can build custom pipes out of titanium if you can't find what you are looking for.

I might be selling my S4RS Termi system if I can find a nice Akrapovic system like this.  [coffee]

Akro doesn't make that exhaust anymore. How do I know, I tried searching high and low, even internationally and wasn't able to find;

Hello There GM1RLB here,
I purchased a 2007 S4RS a couple years ago and was in the same boat, I was checking out systems from Termi, Arrow, Akrapovic, Zard and Remus. Check out Moto Wheels.com, Houston Sportbike.com, They hooked me up with my system and I'm veriy happy. Choose the dual exhaust system from Zarda and had the stock ECU re - flashed. Hope that helps

Thanks for all the replies, gents!

I'll be looking to purchase my exhaust in the coming weeks so if any of you are parting with your exhausts please let me know. I'm only considering Termis, Akra and Arrow for now... i'm still in the research phase.

Let me know!

Why not go custom titanium. I have an S4R with a custom titanium pipe from Randy at StradaFab. I love the sound, it's very unique and it's what I wanted since I couldn't find anything out there that was exactly what I wanted. I've lusted after those Akro pipes that were discontinued forever and have had Arrows (IMHO the best ones for a SSS Monster). A QD-Exbox didn't sound right Termi's didn't look right, Marvings were too long, Zards didn't come in shotgun style.

If the Arrow system is what you want then you'll be happy, if not, don't settle. I've been there and it cost me $$$$$ at the end of the day. Find what you love and then hit BUY.

Wow!
That is gorgeous!
[thumbsup]

I noticed you had an S4RS project on your web-site but it had a Quat-D box exhaust, any particular reason why it didn't have one of your exhausts?

Well that was before I did any exhaust and ran out of time and money for that project. That was the first titanium frame on that bike.

Same boat here.

2014, looking for exhaust for my future S2R-1k.

It's interesting to be so late to the game.

Everyone raves about the Arrows. I just love the look of Ducati red and that Termi CF.

I'm also big into sound, and I've read numerous posts saying the Arrows are louder whereas the Termi's are deeper. Not sure if that's the case for just the titanium arrows,
or also the cf Arrows...

I found someone with a pair of Termi slipons for sale. Just not sure if I should do that plus a mid pipe (Marvin, Spark, custom), or just hope to get lucky by finding true full Termi system...

A full system with larger diameter pipes will be louder.
