Post by: hackers2r on May 16, 2014, 11:41:15 AM
I recently completed a few upgrades that took WAYYYYYY longer than expected:

New exhaust, dry clutch conversion, ducshop hyper stacks, and 900ie cams with a custom tune.  Bike made 84hp after being tuned.

Just thought I'd share the updates.

Yeah...S2R 800.  Used the 848 dry slipper conversion kit.  Biggest issue was their special nut.  I had that machined to fit the shaft and apparently it wasn't strong enough and broke off.  Then had the clutch hub machined and a new nut made which was quite the process.  After that, it all went to together pretty straight forward.  Let me know if there is anything specific you're interested in.

Were the 900ie cams drop in compared to the carbie cams or did you need the spacer? Did you get any other headwork done?

The cams did require a spacer but that was very easy to make.  No other headwork done.
