"The German Grand Prix from Sachsenring will be broadcast at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Sunday, July 13 on CBS Sports, according to http://www.sportsline.com/cbssports/schedules/."
it will also be shown live on motogp.com with regular replays on racing-underground.com. ;D
Thanx. I will set the DVR for that.
Racing-Underground.com is a good back-up. Who's ever broadcast they use sure beats the Speed channel.
Thanks for the reminder. Hopefully my Tivo season pass will catch it.

a season pass won't, unless you have one set for CBS also. wishlist may, but i'd program it directly if i were you.

you're correct. season passes are channel specific and won't pick up a program on another channel.
a wishlist for "motogp" should pick it up depending on how they tag it.
Thanks for the Tivo tips. I actually have both a season pass and keyword wishlist set up. If Tivo misses one damn race it would be a miracle. 8)
my cbs affiliate ran infomercials. Bastids.
I'll have to get a torrent as soon as one comes up.

is anyone else seriously annoyed by the cbs announcer?
Kevin Schwantz - great racer, shit announcer
Greg White - should be pregnant dog-slapped before his be-heading. He annoys me more than Sam Posey, and I never thought that would be possible

Yes!
Coverage sucked as well. They cut out 9 laps over 2 commercials...about 30% of the race. [roll] We all got to try and answer the "Honda Trivia Question" though. [bang]
When will the local networks figure out that MotoGP isn't a 3 hour long Nascrap or baseball/football event? Show the friggin' race, and enough with the fluff!!!!
Pretty good race though. [thumbsup]

Kevin Schwantz = proof that knowledge does not equal broadcasting power. Blandest Color man ever.
Greg White = failed WWE announcer does racing. TERRIBLE and who the make the beast with two backs decided that voice passed muster? That boy has a voice for newspapers not broadcasting.
somebody give Derby a sportcoat so he can replace GW next week.
i watched the race on motogp.com this morning, but i just had to watch the cbs coverage to see if it was as bad as you guys are making it out to be.
all in all, it's better than the last two years.
i think that's the problem. you guys are comparing them to moody/ryder or harris/roberts. you could've been stuck with shaheen/spencer! ;D

if you guys want to watch the whole race interruption/commercial free, you should really get a motogp.com subscription.
you probably saw as much of the race as you would've on speed.
schwantz as "ok", cept he sounded like he was reading prepared cuecards the whole time and he had to play off of white's shitty lines.
white needs to pack it in. Misprounouncing peoples names, screaming "side by side" anytime there was a pass.
After today (and 2 more rounds to go [roll]), mags has approved the HD Pass for next years budget ;D

Ya...I know. I am resigned to commercials...it's all the other shit that takes up even
more time that pisses me off.
So how fast a connection do you need for the MotoGP sub? I have the fastest DSL available from Qwest, but I live in a slow part of town...meaning I signed up for the fastest but it's impossible for them to actually get it to me (I'd pregnant dog but I got a special deal, so the price is actually OK). [roll] Is a med. speed DSL sufficient?
well, at least the racer I don't really care for had a crap day. I cheered when that happened!
but yes, some of my favorites from today...
"side by side"
"if you don't finish, you don't get points"
"the riders wear suits made of leather"
"Mark O. Melandri"
"Randy Dee-Poo-Nay"
2 more races...well, at least if i throw the remote through the tv, sqweak will be able to talk me into a new tv. ;)

agreed. it is much better than the last two years.
but come on, at least learn how to pronounced the riders names correctly.
Given his experience, Schwantz should be the dude down in the pits doing interviews. He'll know what to ask folks. He did some of that this go-round. That's all he should be doing, though. :P
As for the commentators, well, it wouldn't hurt my feelings at all to cut 'em altogether and just get a better feed of the bikes' sounds. [popcorn]

that situation is about to get a lot worse...
You're kidding.. 2 more CBS races this year?! [bang] [bang] [bang] [bang]
Does that mean Indy and Laguna?
ftr.... thumbalina saw his reflection in the wet pavement, thought it was Nicky about to pass him, instict took over and he tried to take him out. Nicky had to pit, he wet himself laughing.

That maybe, but when he does speak, his commentary is true insight into the world of bike racing and what the riders are doing and thinking. imo.

he's referring to DMG taking over "ama pro racing" and packaging it for the masses.

You forgot about... Sil-VANE gin-TOE-LEE... and man he loves calling rossi by his nickname Vale. The commentary was gut wrenching, but had me laughing a lot.
There is talk of Spies racing Moto GP as well as his normal AMA race.

what, commentating? or riding?

..or else that whole posting was facetious.

the commentating was better than i expected... the part that kills me is they weren't even commenting live, and that's all they've got? at least there was excitement in their voices... and they should learn the proper way to say everyone's name...
mags... i cheered when that certain someone went down too [thumbsup]
...and derby would be a great commentator [thumbsup]

only if they were willing to stop the race every time he wanted to make a point.

i only do that to get your attention. ;D
derby would be a great color man during the race.
One side benefit is it would save him a bunch of typing why Rossi was screwed out of another win. [laugh] [laugh] [bacon][laugh] [laugh]
