It seems that all companies I work for decide that I should be exposed to other countries as much as possible. That's unfortunate for all the nice Canadians. Starting in mid June I will be visiting quite often. I will mostly be up there for work, but might find an excuse to spend the weekend here and there. Is there any specific place that I should not miss? Is there anyone that lives up there and is begging for abuse that wants to buy me a drink?

Montreal should be awesome in December. ;D
Along with schwartz's deli for smoked meat, you need to hit the 'Montreal pool Hall' for a steamie, which might be the world's best hotdog.
I would also visit Paul Patate's for poutine and biere d'epinette (spruce beer), mostly for the latter. Spruce beer is a soda pop only made in Quebec. It tastes sort of like pine flavoured 7-up, which people either love or hate. I've had a 40 year love affair with biere d'epinette myself.
You must also get tickets for the Habs (montreal canadiens) if you will still be there when the season starts up again. The atmosphere at a Habs game is unlike any other hockey rink in the world.
Lastly, the strip joints in Montreal are pretty special and french Canadian girls are some of the world's best strippers. I'm biased as I've dated a few over the years, but many Canadian men would agree.

All added to the list!
If you get a chance head south into Vermont.
The foliage is great in the fall.
There is a nice easy hike up the western side of Mt. Mansfield that offers some awesome views of Lake Champlain and Adirondacks in NY to the west and views of the Presidential Range in NH to the east.
Let me know if you want some more info on the area.

Awesome Idea!
Growing up, my grandmother had a cottage on the north end of lake Champlain where it pokes into Quebec. I spent many summers there and a great deal of time on day trips around upstate Vermont and upstate NY. The Adirondacks and Vermont is some of the most beautiful territory in eastern North America. My girl and I now frequently ride down to the Adirondacks from our home in southwestern Ontario.
It's not very far at all from Montreal to the border of either NY or Vermont.
Another fantastic trip is to ride/drive down lake champlain on either side and then continue on down the Hudson valley into NYC. There is some very old and interesting history to that area.
My trips will be mostly business related. If I'm forced to stay over a weekend, I might look into going through the border.

No bike unless you want to lend me one while I'm here. This is my second week here and it's been great so far. I've been really busy with the customer, but I should be free to meet with y'all next trip.
