If you want some nice aftermarket mufflers for closeout price - I got this item on flea bay for $500. Act quick before they are gone.

I emailed him and he told me $550. Post some pics when you install them please. Plan on ordering a full Arrow system next week, but may be persuaded for something else.

I looked at the arrows too but at $1200 ish they are not in the budget - I only paid alittle over 5K this spring for a used 2007 S2R 1K. I got it for my son after sold his 2001 748S (due to reliability and overheating issues it had become a garage queen).

We put on some clip-ons and now he is very happy with the aircooled monster. Ill post some pics after we get the new pipes installed next week.

I just bought a 07 S2R 1000 $5,400. with only 1,699 miles. ;D

I was kind of seriously thinking about them for $500 and buying a header also. Still thinking on it.

Did you get the pipes yet?

came today - fairly easy to install. Spent extra time wrapping the pipes but ran short of material for pipe #2 so will have to do it later. Went on a quick test drive - sounds good. More character but not too loud. Im very happy with them.

buy the arrow.

Noticeably better than, say, the OP's cans on something a Marving/Spark midpipe?

Seems like a good deal but F anything that doesn't eliminate that hideous udder.

Thanks for the tip, colud not resist and sent in a bid for $500 which was accepted! I have seen Sil Moto's on other Ducati's and they looked to be nice quality. Already have a Marving mid pipe so the udder is already gone.

Received and installed the Sil Moto's yesterday. Very nice quality and fit well, did have to cut one of the stock exhaust clamp bolts which was frozen solid. To my ears they are a bit loud but the sound is so good who cares ;D (//URL=http://s1347.photobucket.com/user/jonny1441/media/SilMoto006_zps30e39214.jpg.html%5Dhttp://%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i1347.photobucket.com/albums/p710/jonny1441/SilMoto006_zps30e39214.jpg)][/img]

Why wouldn't these fit any other Monster? Aren't the header diameters the same?

I got the Marving header/midpipe from Monsterparts for around $350.

The listing states the Sil Moto cans will fit the S2R/S4R. The exhaust collector boxes (udders) on the S2R800, S2R1000, and S4R appear to all have 43mm outputs. Not sure but i think the S4RS has 50mm.

I don't think there is a lot of performance to be gained by replacing the udder alone, for me it was purely a visual thing. Love the look of the S2R but my eye keeps going back to that collector box, it just bugged me. A full Arrow or Termi system would have been nice but could not find any mint used ones out there and could not afford a new system all in one shot. Good thing about the slip-ons is they will work with the udder or any midpipe designed to replace it.
