I got a friend who does that on his R1 a lot -- not as stylish as that guy, but gets it done.
However, what I find more crazy is the cars in that clip. Holy shit that is some crazy driving.
That's nuts. Just nuts. Even my fifteen year old daughter thought so.
LA
I have to confess.
I did once check a text message while riding.
But that shit's make the beast with two backsing crazy! :o
holy shit! :o
man, the worst i've done while riding is text at a light.
That looks like India!! Not sure where though! Traffic's been that way for ages and somehow it all works! Never saw anyone do that before!
that's crazie!!!!!!
how is the bike still moving without his hands on the throttle?
some kind of moto cruise control?

Would a throttle lock (http://www.throttlemeister.com/) enable him to take his hands off the throttle and keep his speed?
Wow :o insane in that traffic. People were cittung in with just feet and no one even blinked? :o

man, after having ridden with people in korea a half dozen times now, i can attest to drivers in the states being pretty timid.
the rules of the road amount to "polite suggestions" here, and i've yet to see an accident. a coworker of mine said it took him five months to see one. folks just make it work.
Great find! Hilarious video. That guy is a multitasker. He'd fit in great in America!
Absolutely insane...I like the end, where he switches lanes to avoid being part of that flatbed without so much as to even sit up...Friggen crazy...
That's hilarious!
You gotta stay connected though right?
:o WTH?!

First day I visited korea I was in an accident (my korean coworker was driving). [roll]
Second and third world countries, that was casual driving comapred to Kabul, Thimrait, Oman, Japan (okinawa) and many other places in the in the middle east.
But the bike was a bit too casual. :o
absolutely crazy!

It appears that he's using his right foot to control the throttle , at the base of the carbs.

I use something really similar to this
(http://www.casporttouring.com/store/graphics/00000001/vista_cruise.gif)
I used it today and rode about 10 miles with no hands. Traffic was very light. I even passed some cars like that [laugh]
But that would do it. I can't see how that guy would use his foot to work a carb. Feet = no dexterity. Carbs = located behind motor, under tank. Feet can't reach.

Well, bikes are very stable at high speed. so if you know the road and there are no cracks/bumps/pot holes, you could do this till you run out of gas safely.
It's a crazy vid, I thought you guys would like it. ;D
I'd like to speed up along side and elbow bump him into traffic.
Riders like that, doesn't last that long on the road, they get killed. You guys are to see the riders here in the Philippines, you see a whole family of four or five on a bike, helmets not being worn on there head instead it's hanging by there elbows, riding with there flip flops,etc...so crazy!
I saw a guy on HD going from Boston to Providence riding like that- minus the texting. At first I was laughing, then I decided to get the hell away from him so I wouldn't be part of any misfortunate event. Not wise in heavy traffic, even if they don't share lanes here(often).
seeing that i still have a rotary phone at home, & no cell phone, i feel as though i'm living a safer life. [coffee]
I don't even want to return phone calls and text messages...
gotta love india... no helmets and family of four on a scooter
all thge cars are the same
its like some freaky scifi vision of the future gone wrong
instead of everyone having landrovers/rangerovers like in judge dread or Audis like in I robot .

NOT crazy ........... heheheheheh ..... that's just living in the fast lane ;D
"He's doing it all, Bro!"
That's awesome.
Note about the cagers - what I liked was while traffic was really tight and people were changing lanes where they needed to, there wasn't the "What did that make the beast with two backser do to me" sense of 'entitlement'. I imagine that while some of those driving characteristics are very unsafe, that psychy makes me understand the 'make it work' mentality that you see in other parts of the world. We may enjoy our personal space a bit too much here to appreciate these more congested cities.
It still crosses my mind some times how awesome it would be if I had an iPhone mount on my tank... The problem is that none of this works if you want to be responsible and wear GLOVES.
Well thats just it. I keep thinking that there is no way a person could ride & text because of the gloves. And everyone always wears gloves right? [coffee]
Yet another shining example of modern civilization that makes me consider becoming Amish.
