Title: Tasmania
Post by: Tassie Dave on July 06, 2014, 06:53:17 PM
Currently own a 1993 900SS and 1966 Scrambler and almost buying a 1994/09 M900 for when I get old.  The Monster has had a rubber side not down kiss with earth but only broken the bits that keep it off the road and unregistered.  Cheap enough for Australian prices and it will give me an engine to play with.  Being a similar age as my 900SS my OZ Racing wheels and Braketech iron discs will fit.

It's winter and drizzling so today is an inside lazy day.  Even if I should be checking the shims on the vertical cylinder.  Easy horizontal is already done.

Hi Dave,
welcome, I'm a newbie too but I remember from my eight years in Hobart almost every day was drizzling &  lazy stay at home day although I went out frequently on my Triumph Speed Triple.  There are some great roads around the S.E Tassie.
Hey mate, monsters aren't for oldies, they are a great all round bike, I rode one to work for four years in Brisbane & punted the Mt Glorious Mt Nebo at weekends, top bike.  Les.   :P

Hi Dave, Welcome I'm also a newbie and I love Tassie I had almost 20 years living there (I still have a house in Lauderdale) and hope to return one day.  Monsters are a great bike and will suit Tassie roads perfectly.  Also Monster are very compatible with the SS.  Buy it you will never look back and if you don't like it I'll buy it from you once I'm back  ;)
