Anyone out there with a carbon fiber hugger fender experience any "warping" or deformation of the fender. Mine seems to be slightly twisted and the left side is rubbing the rear tire.
I'm thinking of taking it off...anyone ride without a hugger?
Try a CF one. I'm getting one in the coming weeks. I tell you about it.
Good suggestion CF_Beast, considering that's what he's having the problem with. [clap] [cheeky]
I have a CF Hugger which copped a hell of hit from a piece of steel which went through my rear tyre, bashed the Hugger and ripped a chuck out of it, but it still works fine.
You can run without a hugger, a lot of companies make covers for Shocks and suspension components to protect them from road Debris.
People like Desmo times sell a Shock cover to protect it.
i took my hugger off when i got the bike. liked the look better without it.
have not had any problems
Chop it up and make a short fender.
Wow... I should really get my eyes checked!! I guess that's what happens when you log in at work and have a million other things in your head. From the picture it looked like the regular plastic one. My bad... That kinda made me feel like Dubya. ;D
i also run without a rear hugger.
I decided to remove it for now. I'll post pics if I cut it
i made this out of some sheet aluminum. Took about 10 min, and welded a mounting tab to it.

I finally cut it.
Later I may try to do something like you have there truckinduc. I like it [thumbsup]

uh, the dudes sig pic... just a guess since it's a pic of the rear of the bike ;)
i also have a cf hugger, the fitment wasn't great (i don't remember the brand name), it sat a bit off to the left side, so i put some spacers underneath the left and modified some holes to make it fit better. it's still not perfect, but it'll do. it's close enough with ride with safely.

Yeah, that's the pic of my bike and the fender in question. Sorry, it is a crappy phone pic.
