Every forum that I have been a part of encourages a newbie to introduce themselves. I am located in Corpus Christi, TX.
Let me start by saying that I am addicted to motorcycles. I have been riding for 20 years and would bet that I have had at least 40 bikes.
I tend to buy neglected bikes at fix them up, ride them for a time, and then move on to another project. Recently, I have started to keep some of the more unique bikes.
I recently purchased a 1996 Monster 900 that has been sitting for a while. She seems to be all there but in a sad state. If y'all have any parts that you need to clear out of the garage, I might be in need of them.
Every bike I have ever owned has had its own unique attributes & quirks. I look forward to learning about the Monster from the board and sharing some of my experiences with it.

Well compared to a Monster the Griso is heavy, underpowered, and the kickstand is difficult to reach unless you have long legs.
That being said, it is the best bike I have ever owned. Weight is carried in the right places and it doesn't feel anywhere near what the scales say. It handles exceptionally well and very predictably. Torque is the name of the game and it will get you to illegal speeds as fast as anything out there. It starts to breath a bit heavy after 90mph.
The bike reminds me of a VFR I used to own. It does everything well, but the Griso looks beautiful doing it. Unlike the VFR it is simple to work on (not that I have had to do anything other than oil & valve adjustments). If you have ever had a bike that you have sat on and everything feels just right, well that is the Griso for me. The only thing that might ever replace it is a Green Griso 1200 SE. More CC's and valves = more HP. That's never a bad thing.
Some help you are [roll] [bang]

I love my Monster.... but a green Griso 1200SE really would be a nice addition the the fleet. Shame I cant find one....
