After digging around some maps, I ran across CA-130:

Debating heading out there for lunch today and wanted to know if anyone had experience on the road. Thanks.
Thats the Mt hamilton ride, takes you up to the Lick observatory, its tight and twisty, good views of the south bay at the top. If you continue over the top it turns into San Antiono rd then mines rd and dumps you in livermore.
A. start
B. Mt Hamilton, lick observatory
C. Start of mines, or "The Junction"
D. Livermore

Up the mountain or just the lower loop? The lower part isn't special, lots of driveways, dirt in the corners, horses and occasional wild boars.
Do the whole Mines loop, now that gets interesting. Fill up first, you'll need it.
Nice. Thanks for the link.
Up on the roof top click click click, down the chimney comes ol' saint nic.....
I was not a fan of the 130 side of mt. ham. Every corner is covered in gravel and has like 10" wide "pace line." It's tight but much worse going back down.
I enjoy San Antonio/Mines much much more.
And to all a good night!
Dude, it's 11:30 and you're in the bag already. Tisk-tisk.
Yeah, so that sucked. I think I wouldn't have liked that bit of road even if I had more experience riding. The search continues!
