Moderate rant here but just wanted to give some props for being taken care of ...
After searching around for a decent deal on rearsets I settled on some fixed peg ducabikes from houston superbikes that seemed to have the best price. Soon after placing my order I got a email saying they were back ordered = suck! As I was reading the email I received a call from Them can't remember who it was I spoke to but he explained that sets were out of stock however they did have the folding peg rearsets in stock ($100 upgrade) and they would upgrade me at no additional cost .. Say what? So being the suspicious guy that I am I went up and down them and they assured me there was no catch.
I have ordered probably way to much stuff online over the years and have had my fair share issues with company's that totally either f@&ked up orders or sent the wrong thing and after many emails, phone calls, death threats and foul language I can't count maybe three or four times that there was some compensation for their screw up. I don't expect anything for free but if your running a business.... Run it!
There was no screw up here just an item out of stock. It's a breath of fresh air to have a company that actually cares about keeping a customer base and does so without hesitation. Awesome. Rearsets arrived today and I just finished mounting them up. Will absolutely order from them again. [thumbsup]

When (if) you drag that folding peg you may want to return to the salesman and give him a big hug, not just for the deal but for putting you in something that will not lift your rear tire off the ground should you get a bit exuberant one day in the middle of a corner.
;)
I have been wondering about that ridged peg thing too. Why would you not want folders?
I didn't foresee them becoming an unintentional folcrum but food for thought, I usually have a toe out as a feeler when I get too close to the ground.
On a DucaBike peg, your boot edge will contact long before the peg does.

They are awesome. I was surprised how short they are, grippy but short.

True dat.
After about 12,000 miles on my set, I can say that their length has never been a factor nor entered my mind while riding.
