I was sending my stepson out to get some kind of deal on a little Caesars Pizza. O have been getting those $5.00 Pepperonis off and on for a while now because they are OK and edible, unlike they way they were 20 years ago when i swore them off.
So we decided to check Pizza hut for a deal because I knew that they were just as good if not better than Little Caesars Pizza.
Ordered a Pizza with pepperoni, Italian sausage, and extra sauce online for pickup for $7.99
Much to my surprise I feel that this Pizza made the good Pizza List, which is up from the OK Pizza list that I had them on. Only thing I did was add some Tomatoes from my garden, but even without those it would have been good.
Now I know most of you will say blaspheme, but it was pretty good, and it seems like after 30 or 40 years they should get it right.
Are you sure you didn't eat the box?

I'm sure. It had the taste, texture and, feel that I Like. Unlike in years past when I experienced OK Pizza from them.
And no I haven't been smokin the Sonoma Coma.

Maybe someone switched the Pizza Hut pie with Digiorno?
I'm glad to hear this. What they served before wasn't pizza.
dunno, last visit to Miami, still to acid and raw
Pizza Hut has always been better than Caesar's..not just sayin' that because I worked there.
Actually, the wife & I both did in college & that's where we met. So what?! [cheeky]
The Hut has nothing on Caesar's crazy bread & sauce though. I know it's horrible for you but can eat that all day! [drool]
I tried Chuck E Cheese Pizza about 30 years ago, and it was the worst stuff ever. Anybody try that lately? I'm too afraid to try it myself...

I took my son there for his friend's bday party <1 year ago. The pizza was comparable to a .99 frozen Totino's brand. The place in Aliso Viejo sucked too! I think it was converted from an old grocery store so there was a ton of empty space. It was nothing like I remembered from 30+ years ago. I don't recall how the pizza was back then but at least it was fun. My son seemed bored after about 30 min.
They should rename it Chuck Up Cheese.
Den of disease.

All those pizza places suck...you can make your own for $5 that is 100x better. That said, I used to eat the hell out of Little Caesars and Pizza Hut from about Jr. High thru college. [laugh]
Chuck E Cheese is beyond disguisting...on several levels. [puke]
However, apparently my wife worked at Chuck E Cheese for a short time when she was in high school...and she was the mascot that walks around! [laugh] [laugh] [laugh] She'll never live that one down. ;D

The best pizza that I've had was at Extreme Pizza in San Francisco's Fillmore District. The pie was their Aveiro. Portuguese linguica, smoked bacon, pepperoncini, roasted red peppers, tomato sauce, mozzarella, and fresh cilantro. [drool]

Haven't tried Extreme, but North Beach Pizza is pretty good. They have 2 or 3 locations around the city.
Best Pizza local[Panama] Pizzeria Napoli, Calle Estudiante and Mamma Rosa
Best Pizza Miami: Miami's Best and Cazzola's
Best Pizza Royal Oak, MI, Brooklyn Pizza
What do they have all in common? Wood burning ovens
When they built the new international Terminal at San Francisco they had resturaunts from the local area put locations there. One of them was a wood fired pizza place. It was supposed to be a destination because the train was built to come right into the terminal, and the idea was that you could ride the train from anywhere in the bay area and do lunch at the terminal.
It was nice looking in there with lots of natural light and acres of glass to look at the big 747's coming or going to places like Singapore or London. You would sit down and be waited on in a nice relaxing atmosphere just like at a regular resturaunt. Not the food court sort of fare they have over at the domestic gates.
Then just a few months after they completed everythig 9/11 happened. They threw up a security check point at the entrance to the new wing and now you cant access any of that without a bording pass for a flight out of the international terminal. Your domestic boarding pass wont get you in.
Thus I have never tried that place.
Living here in Sacramento I have decided that the best pizza anywhere is......................... Not here. :-[
Anything out in Folsom?
Chain pizza = shit. Luckily, we have several locally-owned places that make great pizza.

I have not seen a place with a wood fired oven since getting back from Costa Rica. Where btw; they had better pizza than Sacramento. :)
I think Michel Moore built a wood fired oven at his house. Peeps used to go over there and make Pizza.

Too bad George's kids didn't want to keep this one open and maintain the standard.
Locally, we have a place called "Marco's" that does some seriously good pizza. White pizzas are their specialty.
JM
I used to work at the first Marco's Pizza on the west coast. Garlic butter crust is dangerous. I still dream about it.
