this basically took total of maybe 10 minutes.
make sure that whatever you're painting is clean
what you'll need:
bag of these makeup sponges from walgreens for $3 (40 of them, but you only need one or 2)
paint
tape, and some patience
i put the tape so to be more comfortable, but in reality you don't need it
i sprayed some paint right on the pad, and lightly dabbed it on the letters
let it dry for like a minute or so and did it again, i think i did 4 or so total.
if you get any on unwanted places, a Q-tip with some goo gone on it takes it right off.
results speak for themselves
take a look at the pics

Looks nice! So you basically sprayed paint on make up sponge and put in on the letters? How do you make it smooth and not blotchy
yup, thats exactly it.
the key is to LIGHTLY dab it on, first pass might be light and it gets darker and darker the more times you do it, evens and fills out any imperfections
another reason to do it lightly, especially on engine case, is that the letters are raised like a millimiter so if you press too hard it will go over the letter and onto the engine case.
Nice work. Thanks.
Which spray paint did you use, and where did you buy it?
Thanks
