Option 2: Blue
Title: Wheels: Black or Blue?
Post by: MonsterMadMarty on November 30, 2014, 11:32:09 PM
I intend to paint the engine black, add heaps of carbon and blue anodised goodies.  Should I leave the wheels black or respray them a lighting blue?

P.S. This isn't the actual bike the tank will end up on I just put it on this one temporarly to see how it looked with the black frame and black wheels

Voting is very tight on this one!

Spoke with a custom painter yesterday about a single lighting bolt from the tank following down the belt cover! Nothing too much....

Blue makes me think of Yammy.  Blue wheels makes me think of squids.  But that maybe is some association limited to US culture.  Could be different down there.

Ducs don't really work in blue IMO, with one exception: the S#R models with a white stripe look sharp.  But they have white wheels.  Even then, doesn't feel 100% right having a blue italian bike.

All black is a safe option, and black wheels go with anything.  For reference, here is an all black bike.  The blackest of the lot, officially rated a score of "11":
