Title: Engine Stand Plan Required
Post by: MonsterMadMarty on December 20, 2014, 05:43:03 PM
Does anyone have an engine stand template I could use? Cheers  [thumbsup]

I have a mate who's a whizz with a welder and willing to build me a stand for a carton of beer  ;D

Just measure the side stand and rear brake master mounting holes and have him make something like this:

Or check out Dub Luv's build thread where he whips a nice one up

Monsta's is nice too

Motowheels sells one cheeeep, $85 for VIP members (cheap IMO) that does the job.

I don't think detailed plans are really necessary, just decide which parts of the engine you wish to be your pivots, then measure/cut/weld. Nice thing about DL, Monsta, Corsair, and Motowheels' stands is the bike can be stripped/rebuilt from the engine up.
