Title: Clip ons
Post by: Willthedub on December 22, 2014, 05:19:50 PM

Hey

I'm after pair of clip ons after totally screwing mine up after drilling holes in them to mount oem controls.

I'm totally tidying up my dash and am after a pair of slick sexy looking ones I've seen the woodcraft which seem to be a front runner but am I missing any?

Cheers [thumbsup]

I really liked my Apex norise, but have Woodcraft with a rise now. I prefer woodcraft if you want risers.

I have 2 brand new sets in the classifieds, both very popular/sought after by Monster owners; OG Cycle Cat (very rare) and 4" Speedymoto Tall Boys.

I loved them both, very comfy, just had my heart set on some IMA's from Italy. Lots of talk on this board about both brands.

You can buy just the bars, if only those are damaged.

Seems like he's happy to have an excuse to spend more $ on his bike to me... :)

I've been rumbled

It's disease I tell ya!

Got...........to............stop............spending!!! (Help)

But hold on...... Those IMA's from Italy are special! Does this mean I have to deal with the Italians again? That laid back bunch of guys.

I washed my bike with some kind of acid wash which tarnished all the anodising  [bang] including the clip on fork mounts, another good reaon to start a winter project in my eyes!  ;D

The various IMA Special Parts look fantastic, work well and are quite 'affordable'. They speak Englsih and are nice to deal with.

If you want more rise, the Woodcraft clip ons are a good choice. Other brands do a similar job. Personally, I don't like CycleCat or Speedymoto Tallboys because their risers are on the outside of the fork legs = less available sweep angle and too wide - for me that's wrong, but for others could be perfect.

It will be a pleasure to follow your bike - make another thread for it or change/expand the title of this one. Please post lots of pictures. That's how we, as open mod addicts, support each other.

The IMA's are actually quite crude looking. Hideous, in fact.

You're better off letting me bear this burden of shame alone. ;)

Haha! Rudemouthsky I will let you have the IMA set up! We all need to be different in our own little ways

I will post plenty of picks once the build starts and I figure out how to upload I could really do with some inspiration and plenty of constructive criticism!
