With my motorcycle endorsement fresh off the press, I couldn't wait to go shop for my very own Monster. Picked her up on Saturday morning from Ducati Seattle. The ride home was my first ride outside of the MSF class. Took it easy down the side surface streets to get back home, but quickly felt comfortable after a few miles. I've been venturing out all weekend, and having a blast! Got it out into traffic this afternoon and rode for a bite for lunch with my buddy who rides a BMW K1200R. Then, realizing I was without my house key and locked out of the house till my wife got home [evil], rode to downtown Seattle, up the waterfront, and back home (I live 25-30 min north of Seattle).
Can't believe I waited this long to learn to ride a motorcycle! I'm hooked for sure. ;D

Congrats on the new bike.
On a side note, I thought IZ left Seattle? Who took the semi-IZ_ pic of you?
Thats a cell phone pic courtesy of the wife.
It's kinda an inside joke.
IZ is know for IZ_ pictures, nails in his tires, and frequent relocations, among other ailments

Congrats, Nice ride you have there. [clap]
Congrats [thumbsup]
Nice jacket BTW
Nice monster and welcome to the riding community. Glad to see you are wearing your gear as well. It dosen't matter how big or small the bike, when you fall it all hurts....dress for the fall, not the ride.
Very nice! Congrats...and just remember to take it easy for a while...Being comfortable can be a false flat sometimes...Enjoy!
Way to go! Pop off the reflectors and report back to us ;)
Right fork reflector popped off yesterday while I was riding -- so the left one came off last night. :) It was a little surprising -- I wondered what the hell was falling off the bike so soon after buying it, but then noticed the missing reflector at the next stop light. They seem to be temporary at best -- are they required by some states? Looks like everyone pops 'em off.
Time to go shopping for some lighter weight gear as well. I've been selecting gear with an eye to what its like in Seattle most of the year - but that has resulted in me being a bit toasty for the sunny weather we've been having.
Let the mods begin... [thumbsup]
When are you going to replace perfectly good stuff with other stuff? [laugh]
