Ive been over that road several times and others just like it in the area. It's not usually the fastest way to get someplace but it depends on where you are coming from or going to. And some of the Local Local's (From Comptche) drive that road most insanely.

Yes there are some Hot springs there, clothing optional I think. Ive never actually stopped
