Title: Need help with parts.
Post by: pipeliner1978 on July 14, 2008, 05:19:19 AM
Bonnie wants to change the look of her bike to make it more "her" style.  Need help in finding clip ons, bar end mirrors and grips.  This is a 2005 Monster S4R with upgraded Ohlins forks.  If anyone has suggestions on best place to buy, or some laying around that would work, please let us know.  She wants the bar end mirrors kinda like the sport classics, only in black and Rizoma sport gold annodized gips.

Also, selling a few things we took off her bike yesterday.
CF closed clutch cover
CF front fairing
DP mirrors (not bar end)
CF rear fender with carbon liscense plate holder

Thanks

you can google napoleon bar end mirror or similar phrase and get all kinds of shopping links.  they're usually all of $20 each.

Tommy, I had a nice set of Napoleon bar end mirrors on my 620 for a long time and really liked them.  They're "Emgo" brand and were about 30 bucks each from CycleGear in Bedford over there off of 183.  The mirrors came in matte black and were very well made.  If they don't have Emgo's sitting out on display, just ask them to order you a set - they've got a catalogue behind the counter.  Takes about two or three days to get in.  THey are more expensive than most other Napoleon mirrors - you should be out-the-door with tax and everything right around 80 bucks - but the mirrors held up really well over the 20,000 miles or so I had 'em on my bike; didn't vibrate or slide around, and held the adjusted position without ever touching them again.

www.pjspartsarts.com   They carry Rizoma parts for Ducati.  That's where I got my clip-ons that have migrated recently over to Will's bike.  VERY well made parts, and since you can't get Cycle Cat stuff anymore, pretty much one of the last quality options available.  Just be prepared, this stuff ain't cheap  :o

Here's their link for the Rizoma clip-ons (small crappy picture that can be "clicked" to a slightly bigger size  >:(  )

And here's a link to their Rizoma Grips:

They've also got some nice bar end mirrors too.

Grrr, session timed out and I lost my post here....Here I go again

+1 to PJsParts, they are great to do business with and are quick to ship.

Get your parts ordered soon.  Italy seems to take the whole month of August off for vacation.  It can take a long time to get your parts if you don't order them soon.

Hell I thought Italy was always on vacation! It's the only country I have been to where the restaurants close at lunch! [laugh]

You're WRONG!
"+112" to PJ's...

Just spent a few bills with them.
Paige and PG seem to be awesome peeps... very careful with making sure your order os exactly what you want...

And not billing until they get the Part!

Maybe +113 ...I dunno.....

[thumbsup]

"Hi, Rich.
I can get that screen. The brand we get is Fabbri, it is very high quality, and would cost $85. It can also be in the shipment that leaves Italy on Friday.
Just confirm that's okay, and we'll get it ordered for you.
-Paige"

So much for KneeDragers.com!!!

Just as an FYI:  here's another great group to buy from if you haven't already:

http://www.monsterparts.com/

They have excellent customer service, fast shipping, and a reasonably decent selection of not so common Monster... um... well, Parts   ;D
