So there might be a group of us headed South this Sunday per this thread.
http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=7023.0
Perhaps a meeting of the MHM & SoCo groups somewhere along the way?
Watch the MotoGP race in the Springs somewhere?
Discuss.
Sounds cool! It's Monday night and I've had a few cocktails, can't think of a spot we could watch here in the Springs, other than maybe Champs, but that doesn't seem like a good first choice. Any ideas among my sober brethren?

Back East Bar and Grill off of Briargate Parkway... It's about a 1/2 mile from the Shops at Briargate and off of I-25 and Hwy 83 North. [beer]
Randimus thanks for thinking of us SoCo Dogs too! [clap]
Blasted weddings!!!!! Here's another ride I'll miss :'( I need to end these sensless obligations, and my job!!! That way I'll always be able to make the ride!!!
brew
I may be able to meet up.... :D
The primary requirement would be good tv in a place that will put the race on for us.
Brew's place would be good. ;D

Oh yeah, I've heard of it. I'll be there! Should we call ahead and let them know we're coming El Presidente?
So if we leave Morrison @ 8:15, we would be in Deckers @ 9:00 or Woodland Park @ 9:30.
Post up or PM who we need to be looking for, and where.
Smitch, and a few others, I look forward to meeting you.
You too Bick!
The race starts at 3pm, so you Denver guys wouldn't have leave as early as 8am if you didn't want to. Don't know if I'll be able to meet up in Deckers before hand. I'll post here if I can meet you guys before the race. Any other So Co Dogs feel like running up to meet MHM in Deckers? 1pm or 1:30 meet up there would give us time to get to the bar for the race. Or earlier, thoughts?
I just called Back East Bar and Grill, they said they'd turn it on for us no problem.
The address is 9475 Briar Village Pt. #168, Colorado Springs, CO 80920

My wife used to watch with me, but she's not as interested any more. Hope everybody makes it!
The plan is to go down to Cripple Creek, then catch the race on the way back (and let the day cool down a bit before the trek back north)
So your wife got frustrated with CBS announcing, too?
Nah, but she's upset with my mouth lately, now that we're parents. I was holding my 4 month old son, saying "These F-ing announcers F-ing suck!"
Admittedly, I need to clean that up if I don't want him repeating such things at an early age!
I could meet you guys at that Conoco where 67 meets 24 if you're coming back that way from Cripple Creek.
I'm teaching my daughter to say "shit". 8) It's a useful word..... ;D
Hey WDB man, wanna ride Sunday with me to meet the Denver guys in Divide, and then head to Back East Bar for the GP race? Cooleye? Pres? J_Slyter? Walter? Where my DOGS at (jeez, that's so wanna-be gangsta).

Smitch I'm in for the Moto GP at Back East. I may be in for the ride with you to Woodland Park. I'm commited to getting things ready for a road trip, but I might be able to fit it all in if the timing is right (read late start). Let me know when you want head out. We could meet at the 7-11 next to Back East. Let me know.

I don't think I'll be available that early. I gotta run down to Raton, NM. I will probably even be running late to the race, but I am going to swing by for sure. [thumbsup]
I'll try to meet up at the Back East Bar for the race. I might be caging it unless i can talk my wife into letting me take her gsxr.

Wow, she'd do that after you took the Monster off roading? That woman must love you.... or the opposite... [cheeky]
Hmmmm.... I can't tell what the Frack is going on in this post?? :-\ [bang]
I can probably meet up in Deckers with whomever is going to be there...

Bick,
If I'm at said Conoco we talked about around noon, do you think that's about right, or do I need to be earlier?
If this is getting stoopid complicated, you guys just do your thing, and we of the SOCO crew should just be responsible for finding you where we can hook up. If we don't, that's our bad!

Noon sounds about right, maybe a little before.
My guess is that we will get up to Cripple Creek @ 10:00 - 10:15, get fed, back on the road 11:15 - 11:30. Barely 1/2 hour (with traffic, and I am slow) to get to Divide.
Sounds good! If for any reason I'm not sitting there ready to go, you guys just keep going! But I'll be there a bit before noon.
High probability that I will be at Back East Bar for the races. I can probably make the Sunday ride also, as long as I finish the 18K maintenance on the BMW. Sometimes it takes me a while since I take a lot of breaks. [drink]
Sweet, see you then Slyter!
Looks like I won't make it to Woodland Park, but I'm still planning on viewing the races. Watch out for traffic and LEO's, tomorrow is the Hill Climb.
It was nice to see those who made it, nice that the bar put the race on the big screen for us.
I was in NM later than expected. :-\ Anyone doing anything next weekend?
Great meeting all of you.
Bishops very soon - Hopefully with better represention from the MHM!

Bick, you're a Dog now Man! SoCo Dog that is. Thanks for showing and spending time with us down in the Springs. It was good to see a solid turn-out. It was good to see Merkle out and about too - only a few days after his collarbone surgery! Gags, Pino, Matt, John, Brenda, Dave and Liz thanks for showing up. Hopefully, next time I'm not so darn sick. I'm waiting for Smitch and Cooleye to post up and tell us what happened. Cheers.
Missed meeting up with Bick somehow. Saw a Tri-colore, something Japanese, and a 996 that looked like Randimus go by the rendezvous point. Hesitated and thought maybe it wasn't them since they didn't pull over, so waited a minute. Then thought, Damn, that really looked like Randimus, and took off to try to find them. Rode through Woodland Park, didn't see them. It was too early to head back to the Springs, so hit Deckers. Got back to the Springs still to early to head to the bar, so went home first. Felt guilty because wife was having a hard time with our cranky 4 month old. Stayed home. :'(

That would have been the other part of the group... Bulldog, Mad Ison, and the R1. No Maximus.
We were abut 20 minutes late. Sorry.
Next time.
I'm sorry, I didn't know where the rendezvous point was and we were consistently ahead of the other riders by just a minute or two (everybody rides their own ride)
I would have pulled over for sure had I known.
Also, Mr. Bick was the only one with your cell number and he forgot to bring it. So we had no way to get in touch. Not dogin Bick, just telling you what happened.
We didn't go into Woodland Park just headed down 24 to go to Cripple creek, took the back way through florisant fossil beds.
Sorry we missed you smitch. :-\

Dang, knew I should have waited longer! No worries, hope you didn't look for me too long!
