Title: Monster SBK
Post by: m9hundo on March 12, 2015, 08:37:56 PM
I was looking up 749's and came across this take on a naked SBK.

I would ditch the headlight for a traditional monster headlight.

I've seen another bike - maybe on this forum - that had the same headlight and it seemed to work better.  Maybe it had a fairing or something to break up the length?  That headlight doesn't work so well on this bike.  It does have a nice industrial quality to it but it is just too 'out there'.  I wonder if the light shakes a lot at night.

I'm pretty sure that headlight is the case for Gramp's old 8 m camera.

I've seen this bike riding on Mulholland.

Looks a bit odd but I like the looks of the headlight. It captures the rawness of the whole scheme.

Yes, that is the one I was thinking of - looks like it is set back into the triple a bit deeper and the small fairing does something Thanks!

actually I don't think it is the same headlight but I like Celli's a lot better.

... and it looks like both bikes have the same front fender mod ...

Yeah the HL looks like a vintage Rolli:

I dig the spirit of what he tried to do, remove and modify what's there instead of adding a bunch of stuff, and I sort of don't hate it. But it's also pretty absurd looking.

Every time I see an STM slipper clutch I turn green with envy...
