Last October my good friend and fellow firefighter crashed wile we were out on a ride. He was seriously injured in the crash. Luckily my self and my other coworker are seasoned paramedics and we treated him immediately on scene and flew him via helicopter into Boston which ultimately saved his life. ABC was filming for a documentary on trauma and my buddy was one of the first patients. I got all of the events as they unfolded on my gopro camera. The show Airs July 19th at 10:00pm eastern. Give it a watch. I was on my Ducati that day.

He's doing good, he's frustrated being out of work and having to recover but he knows it's all for the right reasons. He just had his second surgery last week to have two new plates put on his femur because it wasn't healing right but he's in good spirits. Thanks for all the kind words!

Thanks, it was pretty humbling talking to the trauma surgeon at a major trauma center after the accident and having him credit us with saving his life with the decisions we made on scene. He told us that if anything had been delayed or we didn't get him to a major trauma center when we did that we would most defiantly would have died. Shortly after he went into surgery he was pulseless and without a blood pressure. The fire dept that showed up let us run the scene as they knew who we were. I have over 20 years experience working in the street as a paramedic and it's by far one of the hardest things I have had to deal with.
