I'm a bit confused. From the sound of it, the items being auctioned are the remaining inventory along with the intellectual property. But it has no affiliation with Saleen Auto?

Did Saleen give IP as some type of settlement? The only other scenario under which I can imagine why they would divest with their IP and those assets is if they
really needed capital for a future/better project.

Corrected. From my understanding it sounds like they just teemed up wtih Saleen on the S7. Similar to Ford and the Saleen Mustang. Ford could sell all Mustang IP related stuff and it wouldn't include anything for Saleen.
That's my take anyway.
