I'm nearly finished with my third Bandit: a 1997 1200, piped (Cone Engineering reverse megaphone), jetted and podded with a custom subframe, ZRX1200 swingarm, Galespeed wheels, GSX-R750 front end and rear sets, Tomasselli clip-ons, Motogadget m-Lock, KOSO TNT gauge, Omar's Fiberglass cafe tail section (I Frenched in the tail light -- my first fiberglassing project). The bike weighs 425 lbs wet. There's still a few things to finish like the seat cover but the jetting is nearly perfect and it goes like feck.

I lowered the ride height a bit. Meet up with an upholsterer after Barber Vintage Show.

I got some fork parts anodized, lowered the gauge, bolted up new clip-ons, ISR masters and switch clamps. Full-floating rotor buttons from Motowheels too (0.5 lbs less rotating mass). Headlight switch is on the inside end of the left clip-on.

(and yes, I straightened the headlight)
Now to CAD-up a throttle housing.
Throttle cam housing underway...I thought I came up with a unique design...I was wrong...a Japanese company makes almost exactly the same thing!
New throttle housing design:

Where did that upper triple come from?

My design (saw something similar on the web?) and machined by James Forster as well.
I had a few minutes to bolt up the new throttle cam housing. James Forster of JJ Machining in the UK (who also did my top triple clamp and carb caps) did the CAD (I drew pictures) and machining work.

Idle mixture was tad fat <cough...understatement> so I turned the fuel screws in a bit then took it for a spin. Much better now.

Thanks Howie! Bathroom scale method says it weights wet what my S4R does, ~430 lbs.
