I'm waiting for my Battery to recharge and contemplating buying that 500mm Lens now. I took some shots with a 300 but since the battery was so low it died while I was d/ling from the camera. I can't wait to see how the pics came out.

Saw it, it was about half covered when it finally broke free from the clouds.

No pix.

My pics were not great, but I did get a few. the 300mm zoom didn't help much nor the fact that I was in the middle of negotiating a house offer. I got the house/barn and the pics.

My 80 year old next door neighbor was canvasing the neighborhood and stopping cars on the street to make sure people looked up and saw it; apparently a lot of folks here who wanted to see it looked up the time online and then promptly forgot that Arizona doesn't observe daylight savings time and they would miss it by an hour.

It was actually kind of fun as the whole thing turned into an impromptu block party.
