Flat Track Pro model Scrambler.
Gets different seat, number plate, some CNC bits and Termi slipon.
++++
Scrambler Sixty2 "new pop icon" - Smaller engine 400cc Twin based. Different colors, single disc and some other changes with the lighter less powerful engine
+++
New version of the Multistrada Pikes Peak Edition - PP Colors, low screen CF bites etc like previous. * US edition DOES get the Homologate Termi exhaust unlike before
+++
899 becomes 959, Body changes, more race like aeros, anti hop clutch and a TERRIBLE looking stock exhaust. Side exit lump... probably a noise restriction matter IMO. The sessy under body style a la 1299 or 899 are aftermarket DP parts
+++
Hyper updates across the 3 models. 937cc +10% more torque! Minor dash and signal lamp changes.
+++
Multi 1200 Enduro - with two sub models/trim lines - Looks like they are trying to get more ADV space.
Spoke wheels 19"/17", Bigger stronger Skid plate, hard box cases, AL side covers (body), longer suspension travel, offset mount front axle, DSS, higher exhaust 30L tank, ergo changes for more expected off road riding. Bunch of other misc changes.
+++
"Black" - "Low Speed Excitement", so their cruiser area concept area. XDiavel - looks like more than just an update to the current model. Longer lower, feet more forward (adjustable pegs are stock) and belt drive. This is the belt drive bike that was spy spotted
Max torque is at only 5K rpms. 10k redline, but very tuned for low RPM use.
Still had 40 degrees of lean clearance - Regular Diavel is only 41.
ALL cooling plumbing has been made internal to the engine or hidden. No hoses on display. Pretty clean.
Push button launch control.
S version gets billet parts, different wheels, different paint, DRL

Scrambler versions - still not for me, but the 400cc will probably be good for business.
Pikes Peak - nice.
959 - sensible changes and I actually don't mind that exhaust. This is the bike closest to being an altenative for me.
Hypers - still not interested.
1200 Enduro - of course, why not grab a larger GS market share.
XDiavel - sales, sales, sales. Nice styling. Looks even more similar to Mark's DesmoDevil.

Yeah, very similar...
DiavelX looks much less hideous than prior Diavel. But what is up with those wheels? [puke]
Surprised that there was no mention of the M1200 R.

Actually, I think maybe the lack of M focus in that presentation is revealing of management's direction.
So not much to see in the Duc section of the International Motorcyxle show in Long Beach this wknd?
Boring.

I like the looks of the X, but how does it handle with the footpegs all the way forward?
Supposedly it only lost 1 degree of lean
Yeah claimed lean of 40 degrees, while Diavel has 41
i want to see more than one Diavel do anything but go straight...
cuz I have seen one on the track.
It's not what Ducati made them to do.
They made them to sell bikes.

Back when I tried to find out, I remember Metzeler quoting ~50 at full lean for their sporty tires, maybe another few degrees available... All of those degrees can be used if the Monster (S2R and up) suspension is right. At 40 degrees a Monster will have almost an inch left of unused tire.

duccarlos, I've riden the Diavel in the mountains, it handles very well, brakes very well and turns in very well, as well or better than a stock 2nd gen Monster but not as sharp as 1st gen Monster, this is MY MHO

Anyone else notice the displacement? 1262cc's. Or, basically: the absolute maximum of the old engine (Pantah based). A DS1000/1100 crank in a 106mm bore engine. Which leads me to think that all future new models will be Panigale based bikes since the SBK's will be V4's in the future...
In other words, the swan song of the Pantah engine is this 1262cc mofo... I suspect this will just be the first chassis to offer it and a 1262cc Multi will follow.

No. I like the flashy wheels! I was just thinking that the whole concept could be a game changer. I've pretty much only ridden sport bikes and Monsters for years now. A sporty cruiser like this would be way different!
Just hope they fix the current crop of design flaws with the Multi.
HandsFree = crap; fails at every gas station and area strong RF
Fuel Level Sensor = crap; fails every 6 months
Fuel Cells = crap; expands and starts breaking the covers every two years
DVT = crap; big dead zone in the mid range

BT4.1 or 5.0 might help this. The keyless operation is problematic because you probably don't want that on BT channels.

They've fixed the 2nd gear problem on the DVT but, you can thank EURO4 for this generalized behavior and can expect that to become the norm.

R model they basically took the Diavel's mapping and wrote it in the Siemens ECU to get the horsepower plus a very few other components
I like the new Multi a lot.
What kills it for me is the probable 20k price tag and part of me would feel bad putting a Ducati on it's side in the dirt.
I'm gonna keep lusting after an 1190 Adventure. At least that bike expects to spend part of it's day on it's side ;D
