The NFL Network is re-playing the game Friday night, 49yrs to the day.
"We have never put this game together in its entirety until this project," said David Plaut, senior producer at NFL Films. "Given that no full version of the game exists anywhere and that it is the first Super Bowl ever played, I think it's great that we finally have a full record of the game, even though it wasn't competitive by the end of the third quarter.
"I'm sure Packers fans will enjoy seeing the 1966 squad in action once again," Plaut added. "Most historians believe either this team or the one from 1962 is the best in franchise history."
