That was a sad day. I was teaching sniper school in the Marines, I remember it like it was yesterday.
I remember it vividly. Stayed home from school since I was sick that day. Watched the whole thing live, not really understanding what was going on. One of those childhood memories I will never shake.

Odd, both my brother and I stayed home sick that day as well. I remember watching the launch on TV...

Same here. I would have been 9 years old.
I'll never forget watching that unfold
I was in 11th grade and we were in Chemistry class, but, on every launch, SCN/AFRTS would televise the launch . . . Remember as if it was ysterday
I w as 22, in the Air Force, stationed in Germany. We were watching on the AFN.

I was sick that day too. I was 15. Watched the whole thing. It's something you will never forget.
We just finished designing a house for her husband. I have to call him today about some details. I'm not looking forward to it. :(
I watched it live at school in social studies. I think that was 10th or 11th grade. It was kind of odd that the teacher decided that we should watch something on TV that day.
And we were saying, that's not supposed to happen is it?
