OK long story short. A nasty RR crossing bent the rim on my 08 Tricolore. It had about 2000 miles on it. As of today it's been in the shop for 26 days. They sent the wheel out to be straightened at a race shop out of state. The whole repair with everything included is going to be about 400 bucks. They told me it would take a while but Christ almighty. The worst part is that my HD needs tires and I don't want to put them on until I pay the dealership for the repair. This mans I have not been riding either bike. The (semi) good news is that the RR may cough up some dough because their crappy crossing was at fault. I just wanted to rant. If it's not done by Friday I'm going to make a "missing" poster and drop it off at the shop.Friday will be one month exactly. The weather has been beautiful. If you see some guy in Central Indiana riding a blinged out Road King with bald tires that's me.
Before I had BMWs and then fell in love w/ Ducatis I had a '02 Road King Classic. It was a nice way to cruise down the highway. Better than sitting home looking out the window at the nice weather. If the tires are truly bald and it's in the danger zone ...then better think twice . Dolph
I don't think their terrible...I mean I can see the ghost of treads and no metal is showing. Still....they need replaced and it also needs an oil change. Altogether a tough month for me and my bikes.
